I remember watching the pilot. I hadn't seen many previews for it, but I knew Sean Bean and Lena Headey were going to be in it so I gave it a shot. Now it's one of my favorite shows on TV.

Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Justified, Game of Thrones and Homeland are all worthy. The Walking dead is trash.

I can understand not liking The Walking Dead TV series. The pacing is a bit off and the show doesn't use cheap gimmicks like elf-sex or gratuitous violence to keep the casual viewer entertained ;-)

Joking aside The Walking Dead TV show certainly missed the mark with the whole Rick - Shane - Carl dynamic... There have also been some questionable decisions in regards to the parts of the original story that have been altered / edited / removed.

Kind of makes me wonder if some of the more significant events to come are also in danger of being altered (would be a bummer if they are, as part of my intrigue for the show stems in seeing how they will translate the comic to the screen)...

The walking dead comic isn't that great at all. In fact it bored me to tears.

It doesn't use cheap gimmicks to keep the casual viewer entertained? What about the habitual: Character is walking, sees a zombie, trips/gets knocked down by the zombie and kills it after a 10 second struggle? They do this at least once per episode.

What sucks about the show is that after two seasons I couldn't care less about any of the characters on the show. The acting on it is beyond laughable and they stir up this false drama to a point that the zombies take a backseat in at least half of the episodes. And I wouldn't mind it because a good show needs character development... but there is no development. The characters are exactly the same... they are exactly as stupid and annoying as they have ever been.

The show has one of the best pilots in recent history... but everything after it has been trash.

Yeah I saw the entirety of breaking bad this summer and imo it is the best show on tv (and I've seen all of GOT too, that's easily 2nd). I need a shorter tv show though, all these HBO esque drama series are like 40-50 min episodes). Watching futurama now haha

Makes him feel that his owner is superior to other owners, especially Dolan.

It also helps him think that overpaying for players doesn't matter when you can afford to do so. The big problem is that overpaying always hurts you in the end anyway, especially under this CBA.

Over-the-ear (generally best quality, but also the largest), in-ear (most portable / nondescript), or sports (generally clip on your ear)?

Every now and then slickdeals.com has good deals on sennheiser headphones, from what I've read headphones from them tend to give you the most bang for your buck (not ridiculously overpriced a la Beats but not they're not low quality like my $7 JVC ones)...

Did you decide on a phone BTW?

I saw MetroPCS was rolling this out, haven't done much research into it, but could be worth considering:

I've decided to upgrade my phone later in the year. After investigating a bit, I realized that upgrading right now would cost me a mini fortune... and I can't afford that right now. The one I currently have is serving it's purpose... for now.

As for headphones. I've always been more of an in-ear user... though I wouldn't mind buying an over the ear pair.

I was looking at amazon and they have these 35 puck Sony over the ear phone that has a ton of a good reviews... but I remain skeptical:

The best time to upgrade your phone is after the mobile conferences at the beginning of the year anyway. That's when a lot of new high-end phones are announced so you know what's coming.

Dude, my OG EVO is on it's last leg now. I'm trying to hold out for the next Nexus but idk if the EVO will make it. I might just go on MetroPCS for a few months (since you don't need a contract with them) until the release of the next Nexus and switch back to Sprint or VZW.
