Lil Wayne is trash and ruined Drake, Soulja Boy has become an irrelevant cokehead, Waka Flocka had two catchy songs, etc. I don't get the appeal honestly.

DMX needs to sign with MMG and put together good music with Wale, Stally, etc.

Apple press conference today and they've announced a new iPhone with LTE. I hope Samsung and HTC bury them.

It's a much needed improvement over the 4/S with barely current technology. Yet, it'll sell millions to the sheep. It'll have a bigger screen going away from the aspect ratio, but all the sheep will just see a bigger screen.

I know the thing will still sell in droves but man did Apple drop the ball here.

There was a bigger jump between the iPhone 4 and 4S than there is between the 4S and 5.

People were expecting major changes for the 4S, let alone the 5.

Apple has no excuse. They had all the time to innovate and they failed.

Well they gave it a much better processor, upgraded the OS, the screen is bigger and supposedly better, it's thinner, lighter, less damage prone, better cameras, better battery life, 4G LTE capable and better browser and music functions.

I'm still probably going to stay with a Droid or maybe, maybe wind up going with a Windows phone, but I hate to say I am intrigued. Please don't hit me. :box:

The jump in processors was actually much bigger from 4 to 4S than 4S to 5. The screen is taller, but not necessarily better (the pixel density is the same and the aspect ratio is affected with only going for a taller screen), the camera is pretty much the same (takes photos faster because of the upgraded processor, but the 4 to 4S jump went from 5 megapixels to 8). As far as LTE goes, I hope HTC and Samsung give Apple a taste of its own medicine and bring the lawsuits on.

I'm still probably going to stay with a Droid or maybe, maybe wind up going with a Windows phone, but I hate to say I am intrigued. Please don't hit me. :box:

Have you looked at the Lumia 920? If you're a fan of cameras on phones...

Yeah, Rich hit all of the points.

Everyone is making their phones, thinner, lighter, including their own OS/ heavily modded UI.

Every one was expecting an iPhone 5 last year and when they saw a 4S, they were still excited but not as excited. The stakes were much higher this time and all they could do was make the screen bigger (which adds a 5th row of icons....oh snap  ).

A $30 proprietary pin connector?

How Apple-esque.

Don't buy the company line. 2 years is a very long time in the tech world. Case in point, I'm still on an OG EVO and the top Android Devices tear my phone to shreds.

When the EVO came out, it was the latest and greatest. Had Android 2.2, 4.3" screen, WiMax, kickstand.

Now?

The Galaxy Note is 5.3" and other phones have exceeded Apple's 4" display size a long time ago.

Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 4G have Android 4.1, which is a major change from 2.2.

The Thunderbolt had LTE in early 2011.

Galaxy Nexus and other phones have NFC. Apple's excuse "It's overrated" even though it's not.

The iPhone 4S had 512MB of RAM. So does my 2+ year old EVO. The iPhone 5 has 1 GB of RAM and other phones that have already been released are moving on to 2GB.

There's no removable battery on the iPhone and now the top flight Android phones are putting in batteries that last longer and you can actually replace.

The iPhone still does not have any widgets.

I'll give Apple credit...they had set the bar high for themselves and everyone else initially. But now everyone else is catching up and in many respects are passing Apple. They deserved to talk a big game when they released the first iPhone, but they're failing to walk the talk and they have done so for 2 years now.

Apple hasn't really innovated in years, they're getting by on name appeal. If some of the big companies out there can break Apple's stranglehold on the U.S. court system things could get ugly for the iPhone.

Oh and who else is looking forward to X-Com: Enemy Unknown? I haven't been this excited for a game since Deus Ex: Human Revolution and that turned out to be a terrific gaming experience...

http://www.gamefly.com/Rent-Deus-Ex-Hum ... on/143255/

It's going for $10 on GameFly (according to slickdeals.com) might be a good time to invest (not sure what shipping looks like)...

I got 2-3 full playthroughs out of the game, definitely worth the cost at that price. Wish some of the cities (such as Detroit) were larger but the first time through you don't really notice / mind...

---

I wouldn't bother with the Assassin's Creed serious it's rinse and repeat pretty much every battle / game

---

Heard good things about the Batman games but also that they're rather short...

I definitely disagree with the Assassins Creed games, I think they're awesome. Yeah, it gets a little repetitive, which is bound to happen, since the premise of the whole game is that you go around and kill people, but I never got bored by it.

I never played the first AC though, but I did play the rest, and I've read that they're all a lot better than the first one.

The Batman games are awesome too, but yeah, I was a little disappointed with the length of the main story...honestly, most of the gameplay is side missions.

In AC2 you literally carried out the same mission(s) in every single city... The franchise as a whole had promise, but somewhere along the way the story became a convoluted mess and the free roam free fight mechanics lost their luster (for me)...

Arent all Mac/Apple people fanboys though? I find that there is no talking to them about anything else. It reminds me of the Southpark spoof of Pokemon. Its like there is a brainwash scam going on out there.

OK. So here is my question. I am long overdue for my next phone. I have a droid Galaxy S...love the phone. I am fairly sure I will stick with Droid. But...which one and why>? Galaxy S III?

Need some feedback.

I agree with Batman, but it was so much fun nonetheless. I actually got 100% on Arkham City

this "bynum is going to feast on the east" **** on the gb is hilarious. dude has to play tyson chandler, brook lopez, and kevin garnett 6 times a year now... he is slightly better than these guys. far closer to their level than he is to a franchise player.
