Re: Random Thoughts Thread III
Hell, I'd still take KG over Bynum.
For those that care, Bynum was a net negative offensively according to +/-. He's got skills on the block, but he's such a black hole with terrible shot selection, and he's TO-prone when he gets doubled.
And now that he's in the East, won't he play Chandler/Lopez/KG 12 times a year now?

I never played the first AC though, but I did play the rest, and I've read that they're all a lot better than the first one.
The Batman games are awesome too, but yeah, I was a little disappointed with the length of the main story...honestly, most of the gameplay is side missions.
I agree with Batman, but it was so much fun nonetheless. I actually got 100% on Arkham City
Yeah, same, lol. Although I think I'd take Arkham Asylum over Arkham City...combat was improved in Arkham City, and the side missions were great, and all the Riddler challenges were awesome, and the new and improved gadgets...but for whatever reason, I had slightly more fun playing Arkham Asylum than I did Arkham City. Better story mode (longer) and I guess it was that experience of playing it for the first time...playing Arkham Asylum the first time was unexpectedly amazing, and Arkham City, although amazing in its own right, didn't have that same "wow" factor, since I already played Arkham Asylum.
It's the same reasons why I like AC2 more than the two follow-ups. Objectively looking at the little improvements in terms of gameplay, the sequels are "better" games. But I had more fun playing AC2/Arkham Asylum, because they set the standard.

I thought it was funny when people were saying that he was going to put up DPOY-type numbers.

And say what you want about the AC franchise, but their trailers are GOAT:

There was a bigger jump between the iPhone 4 and 4S than there is between the 4S and 5.
People were expecting major changes for the 4S, let alone the 5.
Apple has no excuse. They had all the time to innovate and they failed.
Well they gave it a much better processor, upgraded the OS, the screen is bigger and supposedly better, it's thinner, lighter, less damage prone, better cameras, better battery life, 4G LTE capable and better browser and music functions.
The jump in processors was actually much bigger from 4 to 4S than 4S to 5. The screen is taller, but not necessarily better (the pixel density is the same and the aspect ratio is affected with only going for a taller screen), the camera is pretty much the same (takes photos faster because of the upgraded processor, but the 4 to 4S jump went from 5 megapixels to 8). As far as LTE goes, I hope HTC and Samsung give Apple a taste of its own medicine and bring the lawsuits on.I'm still probably going to stay with a Droid or maybe, maybe wind up going with a Windows phone, but I hate to say I am intrigued. Please don't hit me.
Have you looked at the Lumia 920? If you're a fan of cameras on phones...
Definitely will be considering the 920, any other suggestions over the next couple of months...

S3 has some of the best specs for any phone currently. I'm not a big Windows Phone user, but I'm reading great stuff on the 920, especially its camera. I'd wait on purchasing an S3 now, simply because Samsung and HTC will be releasing high-end phones that come stock with Android's newest software, Jelly Bean. The 920 however, if it plays to your liking (and I highly recommend you play with a store model NOT the day of your purchase), may be an amazing phone with Apollo and its Pureview camera.
As for me, I'm waiting for an HTC phone that will live up to the specs I want, which probably won't come be announced until the mobile phone conferences early next year.

But you like the S3 among the phones out there right now? I tend to like buying a phone just at the point its about its about to be replaced and goes from $200 on contract renewal to pennies! I just like getting the deal.
For some reason phones are a gadget that irks me to pay max just to have a few months of the "best" on the market.
Is there anything else droid wise you like better than the S3 right now?

If you feel like saving and getting a very comparable phone (in a few circles, some say better simply because of the user interface) to the S3, check out the HTC One X on AT&T. Hell, if it was a quad-core phone with a bigger battery, I would've bought the damn phone.
If you're thinking of going crazy, I'll suggest the Note 2. It's not out yet, but it's a behemoth of a phone.

Yeh I'll be waiting to see what HTC/Android-Jelly Bean releases...I was forced to upgrade in early 2011? and the HTC Thunderbolt was one of the better phones available and one of the few 4g phones on the market...literally had just come out...comes with a horrible battery ($50 upgrade battery), skype issues, etc...But I got really comfortable w/ the HTC...I am not that familiar w/ the window phones but definitely would consider the Nokia as I take so many cell phone pics/vids of my son...
What really sux price wise is when you take out the insurance plans on all of these high level smartphones it costs $100 for any refurbished replacement if you damage your original...which has doubled since even the Droid1 & 2 days...

I do like going crazy if I can see the value! That's my issue. I will spend more if I can see OK this is an awesome feature that I will enjoy...and that's on ANYTHING in life. But if I cant see it...then for me going to the other way is fun. Great value find on something that is a few months old that isnt far behind the new thing that will be vastly higher.
In truth...I use my phone to be a phone. Take a few pictures...email, text, etc. Not much more.
The only app I currently have that I love is an old app that I dont think you can get anymore called "Free Music". So great. Search song...find song...hit preview or download. Song in your phone 30 seconds later for free with album art and lyrics most of the time.
Anyone know of other free apps that will do that without having to download to a PC first? Or can you give me feedback how to get that app in my new phone?

Well...if you ever want a phone that suitable for people with an NBA center's hand, look up the Note 2.

Samsung used to throw subtle digs at Apple. The injunction just pissed them off more and now they don't care. They're going for the jugular.
