Now that it’s done it feels like it was always meant to be. It’s the ending he wanted for himself and his family

But will Laker fans admit LeBron > Kobe?

That Finals streak is over, without without Kawhi.

No. They won’t. :-). But this decision wasn’t about chasing glory / it was a lot about family like he said and transitioning to life after basketball

This is like John Cena joining RAW after dominating SmackDown for 7 years.

I blame myself for getting too excited for the Lakers getting stiffed. They could go the next 50 years being terrible and I wouldn't feel sorry for them. If only Jim Buss was still in control. He looked like a homeless man the day after winning the lottery.

I believe LA only has 1.5MM in space now, 13.5MM if you take Randle's cap hold off the books.

Unless Magic can get Leonard and Cousins that team isn't even better than Utah imo.

They must have a salary dump deal lined up for Deng. None of this makes sense to me.

I'm very curious to see what happens with Randle. The Lakers can go over the cap to retain him, but that would eat into 2019 space. He could take the QO and try again next try year, but if the Lakers renounce his rights they'd have more money to play with.

Doesn't seem likely this season. Their picks are not valuable now.

They have the room MLE as well. It sounds like Lopez is a lock to return, although I'd love if they offered Dwight the room-MLE. It might speed up the process & have him willing to give up about $5-$6mil. I still think the buyout ends up around $19-20mil.

Kobe had farewell tour year when he was 37. 37 for LeBron will happen at year 4 of his present contract. The year he has a player option.

Kobe also battled injuries a couple of years before his last year.

Not sure if Lakers just signed up to return to Championship glory days or if they signed up to be LeBron's last stop. EIther way you have to admire the way LeBron has been able to dictate his career and life at every phase.

It sounds like Randle wants out of LA. My guess is they renounce him & use that money on a couple of players.

Thunder were already at $130 mill in luxury tax BEFORE the signing of Noel.

What are they planning to do with Carmelo?
