It's the off season of one year and two year contracts.

Spurs can wait.

Is Kawhi really going to refuse to play when it is his contract year?

Someone somewhere will eventually wake up and realize the Spurs asking price -- while steep - is not unreasonable for a talent like Kawhi.

But I have been wrong about everything re LeBron / Lakers this offseason, so who knows. :)

Lilliard is going to force his way off of that team imo.

I'm happy that he gets a chance to play with the best player in the East but we already know how this story plays out when the moment of truth arises - Embiid & Horford gonna eat Brook's lunch

I'm really happy for Brook Lopez! Maybe he can finally join a good system. In Milwaukee there's Giannis & Middleton, a great coach like Bud and I think he will start, because Henson is a mediocre player.

July 25-27 USA Basketball Men's National Team minicamp in Las Vegas

Coach G Popovich and Kawhi Leonard are supposed to attend. So Kawhi's medical condition ma not be such a mystery soon .

Kawhi probably is hand in hand with what they do with LMA and even Gasol. If they get back an established player for Kawhi, like a DeRozan or Otto Porter, or Beal, they probably hold on them. If they get back a rebuild package, they have to trade them, right?

Glad to have Brook in the east coast again. It was hard to watch some of those late Lakers games

Man, in 9 games for CHI last year, Kilpatrick put up 15/3/1 on 44/40/81 in 24 mpg (23/4/2 per 36), and then he gets waived. Some team's gotta need a microwave like him.

fwiw, I think Derozan would be a great fit with Lebron on the Lakers. Considering his Cali roots, I don't think he'd mind leaving Toronto in a trade. Lakers would probably have an easier time getting him if the Raptors considered blowing it up and moving on.

Raptors probably think they are going to make the finals now that LBJ has left the conference.

DeRozan wiped his instagram account. Also, this is interesting (from odds shark):

WHICH TEAM WILL KAWHI LEONARD PLAY FOR NEXT SEASON?

Raptors EVEN
Spurs +400
Lakers +500
Clippers +600
76ers +800
Celtics +800
Bucks +1000
Knicks +1500
Cavaliers +2000
Rockets +2000
Nets +2500
Field +500

That's a big shakeup really quickly.

this technically should be in an updated version of this thread to reflect the upcoming season....

But the Denver Nuggets are looking like a pretty solid team next year. I'm not sure if they can get better than a #6 seed though. Funny... they'd probably be a top 3 team in the East next year.

What's their rotation looking like now? Don't know enough about their team (although with family ties to Oklahoma, Oregon, and Denver, they're one of my 3 WC teams I like to see be successful)

Murray / IT
Harris / Beasley
Barton / Hernangomez
Milsap / Lydon
Jokic / Plumlee

and add in MPJ if healthy? Damn, young guns.

Side note, I think Sean Kilpatrick would be a great fit there in spurts.

the have Lyles also as Millsap's backup.

I think:

Murray / Thomas
Harris / Barton / Beasley
Hernangomez / Porter Jr / Craig
Millsap / Lyles / Lydon
Jokic / Plumlee / Vanderbilt

Return to Brooklyn Nets
