Re: Random Thoughts Thread III
I am not paying scalper prices to sit upstairs. I wanted to be there...but not top level prices for garbage seats. I would have paid $300-400 for a pair of lower bowl to ticketmaster for opening night. I see it would cost $400 to sit in the corner of the lower bowl (section 28 row 19) for another game I tried.
Hilarious that is how much a pair of tickets that arent even great seats will cost now face price...lol.
Well...that's the DOWNSIDE to becoming a major attraction.

Re: Random Thoughts Thread III
I've given up trying to go to the first game...it's $200 per ticket for upper level sideline seating on StubHub...and it's not like I'll be the only one going, it'll be me and my family (3 other people), so it would be $800 (plus taxes and shipping) for us to get a nice view of the game from the upper level. That's pretty crazy.
I'm looking to see what other games I can go to. I know that for some games, those same seats are like 50 bucks a ticket.

What did you think of my calculation...I mean I thought it was going to more than double, but we're talking more than triple the face value...

So...if the Google Nexus 5 is real, I'm going to go to Bellvue, Washington and keep throwing money at HTC's North American headquarters until I get it.

Re: Random Thoughts Thread III
But on Verizon though?
They botched the last Nexus by including some bloatware and more importantly, not doing the JB update till now.
Sprint got the Nexus 6 months after Verizon, had no bloatware, and got the JB update quickly (way before Verizon).
I heard El Goog was pretty pissed with Verizon about that.
EDIT: Hey JJ and Rich, if you find any cool tech info, can you also post it in the Tech Thread in the Media Lounge. The more posts we generate, the more likely we can get it turned into another forum.

Re: Random Thoughts Thread III
NyCe, Rich, I'm going to take the plunge by the weekend and root my old piece of **** phone I think.
I will be asking for help here every 3 to 8 minutes when I finally decide. Don't brick my ****!
No but seriously, I'm going to have questions starting sometime tomorrow. I know there are forums for this which I will certainly use, but it's easier to ask some stuff from people you know.

^^You know what the #1 disclaimer about the process is, right?
If you brick your phone trying to follow instructions, you can't pass the blame back to us lol.

The Rebel's hyperbole makes me blush and that's saying something.

Re: Random Thoughts Thread III
Somebody needs to remind me not to set up a custom fantasy basketball schedule every year
Took forever but it's finally done, you play everyone in the league once and two non-division teams twice (was probably a way to make it so those two extra games were against division teams, but I'm not about to re-work the schedule now
)... 2 rivalry weeks this week as opposed to one... With about 5 groups of people involved who mostly don't know each other that was also a challenge...

Anyone cop NBA2k13 yet? I'm contemplating on getting it this weekend. Just wanted to hear from the talking heads if it's really worth the purchase. Thanks.

I got it on launch day, but I haven't had the time to really play it.
In fact, I played in Best Buy more than I did at home.
My biggest complaint last year was about the fact that the ballhandler would lose the ball super-easily and the passing system was horrific. It basically made the game unplayable for me.
Even in the short time that I've played the game, I've found it much better.
Also, you should probably check the Gamers Lounge forum and/or the Knicks forum cuz I'm sure they'd have a thread about that. There are a lot more people who have the game and can voice more qualified opinions than I can at this time.
