The Proper 2010 Off-season: Top 2 Pick Edition

I feel obligated to do this to balance the irrationality and rationality of this board. I am the Ying to your Yang.... Yang to your Ying? Whatever.
Scenario #1
- New Jersey Nets land the #1 pick and draft:

6'4, 195 pounds, 19 years old, John Wall out of Kentucky: Wall has been referred to having the athleticism of Derrick Rose if not better, and have the best court vision seen in years out of college. Whether its giving a no-look pass from the 3pt line to his PF to cut to the basket, or finishing at the rim, he is in a class of his own. It's been said that Wall has a certain leadership quality about him, very charismatic and contagious personality.
- Nets draft Jarvis Varnado with the Dallas pick
- Nets draft Eric Bledsoe with their 2nd rounder (3rd string PG)
- After all its expirings the Nets are left with this:
Harris/Wall/Bledsoe
Lee
Mr.T
Yi/Varnado
Lopez/Humphries
- Nets sign Mike Miller: Out of FA's to fill out our bench I want this guy the most. An average-above average defender. This Forward is long, can play the 2, and is a dead-eye shooter from beyond the arc. He's also a great locker room presence, after all the Wizards fiasco he stepped up his play and just led by example.
- Nets sign Theo Ratliff: He will come cheap at the vet minimum, sign him for as little time as possible.
- Nets resign CDR: He showed us great flashes of heart early on, and can be very good when motivated, just what you need off the bench, if he comes cheap, I say resign him.
-Nets sign David Lee: Often associated as a stat stuffer, David Lee keeps proving is critics wrong. Once he was placed at the PF position in NY to see how he would coup with faster players, he did what he does best, average a double-double, and finished the season off with 20 pts and 11.7 rebs! He will come at a relatively cheap price for what he does, I expect a 12-13M per year offer to be thrown at him. At first I wanted Boozer, but he is too injury prone, look at the Jazz right now, had a great season with him and just before the playoffs he is back to a suit and watching from the bench.
- Nets Keep Devin Harris: The offers being thrown around this board for our all-star PG have been extremely weak to say the least. If he goes to any of the teams we've been talking about (Pacers, Miami, Raptors-with Bosh) it immediately makes them a threat in the East, and definitely makes them a playoff team. Ford + #10? Michael Beasley? Bellinelli + #12????? Cmon guys, that's a bit ridiculous from a non homer standpoint.
The great argument: "The Co-existing of Harris and Wall"
This board has been pretty much split on Harris and Wall playing together. In an earlier thread deviljets pointed out that they would have to play at least 15 minutes together for both Harris and Wall to get enough minutes so we can make full use of their talents. I'd like to point out that Wall's jumper isn't as bad as some of you may think, his jumper is a lot more reliable than Derrick Rose's jumper in his rookie year. Harris can be pretty deadly from beyond the arc when he's on point, of course that won't happen every night so lets just say during those 15 minutes our team becomes a full blown penetrating force. Both Harris and Wall are great athletes, and very good ball handlers, Wall has amazing court vision and Harris doesn't stay too far behind in that category either. They penetrate along with Mr.T (don't forget him!), who is also a more than able passer, and just rip the defense apart with either passes to Lopez and Lee or passing it in transition getting each other to the foul line.
LeBron, Wade, Bosh (yuck), Johnson (I hope not), and Amare aren't coming here.
We can have a playoff team and make some noise in the east, lure Carmelo with our team and Brooklyn.
Finished Product:
Harris/Wall/Bledsoe
Lee/Bell/CDR
Mr.T/Miller/CDR
D.Lee/Yi/Varnado
Lopez/Humphries/Ratliff
