from watching that video I just have this feeling that when he has a free agent in his office making him an offer theres also gonna be 7 armed russian soldiers staring down the player and glancing at their assault rifles every now and then.......

Congrats. Hope your new owner lives up to the expectations he is laying out for you guys. If this was my team I'd be ecstatic. This guy seems like he wants it so that in 10 years, when people hear "New York Basketball", they think of the Nets, not that other local team.

guys you gotta stop with these jokes, you're very lucky to have an owner who is committed to winning and has been a proven winner (took CSKA Moscow to multiple Euro basketball championships, and Russian league championships). He also hired who is considered to be one of the top coaches in the world all of those championships the team won(I'm not 100% sure if they were all with him though), Ettore Messina.
I don't think they'll be bringing him in as he's Italian, and probably only speaks European languages though.
either way, there was nothing about that video that gives that feeling, just seems like a guy who's being sincere and proper about the goals.
BTW: The Nets white jersey has to be the most plain jersey in the NBA, need a new one or bring back the 90s ones.

He's committed, he's got deep pockets, and he has a great team president. That's pretty much what all fans want at the top of their front office.

As dissapointed as I am that we got the third pick. I am greatfull that were finished with that bum Ratner and we now have for the first time an owner who loves the game and is also a get it done type of guy. I am very optimistc for our future.
