Starting PF next year, what else is left there now.

So lets asses our options here.
Yi is gone (everyone is happy).
Humph doesn't opt out (everyone
was pissed)
Apparently we are not going after Lee anymore (some might be happy not to "overpay")
Only realistic target is Ty Thomas (who everybody hates).
Scola and Haslem are pretty much out of the question according to Dave D. (not that i trust him)
http://www.nj.com/nets/index.ssf/2010/0 ... the_4.htmlSoooooo, who's left?
We can go the vet route with:
K.Thomas
E.Thomas (is he even healthy?)
Ben Wallace
J.Howard
Oberto
B.Miller
and thats it, i dont think anyone of them would actually want to play here.
Some younger options might be:
C.Hayes
C.Smith
Shelden Williams
Bonner
A.Harrington
Not looking at much here at all.
Looking at some teams near the tax or some that might wanna unload a few bad deals.
Maybe:
Jamison
K.Martin or Nene (Denver over the tax)
Murphy/Foster (doubt it)
Al.Jeff
Okafor
Bass/Gortat (Orland over the tax)
Brand
Dalembert
Hedo
AK47/Okur (not likely any more)
I dont know about you guys, but i dont see many options for us. We are completely **** right now. Giving Lee 5/75 would be a dream come true right now. I'm so happy Humph didn't opt out.

Our boy Travie is more a 4 than a 3. Looks like he gets to start by default!

Ty Thomas is interesting as long as he doesn't get some absurd contract. His defensive metrics are pretty damn ridiculous.

Tyrus playing alongside Brooke Lopez would be a monster, especially with Sam Mitchell grooming him like he did KG. Tyrus is still only 23 with a huge upside.

Ike Diagu, Jonathan Bender would be my bargain basement shopping. I think Gomes is a FA...I'd make close to MLE-type run at him.

I know there are a lot of Tyrus haters but I wouldn't mind signing him, maybe I'm biased since he helped me big-time in Fantasy Basketball but what the hell do we have to lose?

there's certainly minimal options, I like the idea of signing either Ty or Scola to a front loaded contract. Also wouldn't mind trading for Al, even w his contract and lack of defense.

Our new owner is a penny pincher. Sure he spends millions on billboards but passing on Lee for a few mill.
As for Thomas he would be awesome, I saw him on Bobcats alot and was great but MJ probably matches.
Best options left Harrington and Craig Smith.

I say the Knicks and Nets just combine into 1 team and stick to Wade and co. (btw, **** a Lebron, its the Wade show). Clips and Lakers should do the same.

Harris/TD
Lee/T-Will/Chandler
Gallo/James/Buike/Walker
Amare/Randolph/Humphries
Lopez/Favors/Turiaf
Brilliant.
Actually, that's not a bad team, haha.

KMart, Nene, Al Jefferson, Bass, Gortat & Tyson Chandler would all be better options than Tyrus Thomas. I might even prefer to take Okafor's insane contract as well. At least by taking him off of the Hornets payroll, we might be able to heist a couple of high first round picks off of them.

i mean, we might as well get Tyrus Thomas since hes young, and hes been working on his jumpshot as long as he can control his emotions and play within himself, he'll be like a poor-man's kmart.

Absolutely not, he is a SF, I don't ever see him getting any minutes at the 4 for us. If we go small it will be with James at the 4 not Outlaw. Dude just doesn't have the toughness or rebounding to play the 4.

Dude, it's basically a fact that he played a chunk of minutes at the 4 in Portland and that was often where and when he was most effective...

Tyrus Thomas is a great option. He's a supreme athlete, a crowd pleaser, and a developing offensive player. I think he will prove to be the best free agent in his price range .... which I assume is something like 5/$35.

Well he just resigned with Charlotte. 5 years 40 mill (12.5mill in year 1)
I always thought he was overrated as well.
