Roster questions?

Will Terrence be starting for us at the 2 spot and Outlaw at the 3?

If we can't get Tyrus Thomas or someone else to play power forward, then are we just gonna sit there and let Favors get a crash course in NBA basketball?

Also, how does James, Ross and Lee fit into the rotation on the wings?

Are we gonna bring back Dooling to backup Devin if TWill gets plugged into a starting slot?

Who's gonna be the backup center? I mean even if we do sign Tyrus Thomas, that leaves us with 4 big man of which only 1 is a true center.

Funny, I was thinking about this as well.
Terrence really isn't a 3 to me, but with his lack of shooting I didn't see a way for him to be in the starting lineup, but if you start Travis at the 3, you can get away with T Will at the 2.
I still like his versatility off the bench in a Ginobili role, but we shall see.
Should be interesting.

Am I the only one who thinks we DESPERATELY need a knock down shooter?

Nope, I completely agree. Without pure shooters, this team is destined to be awful offensively (unless we have a JKidd level point running the show).

I know one thing is for sure. If we dont end with TT, we are getting someone else at least a starter material because now that the east has become much better (at least the top four), we definitely need to bulk up our front court. A team like the Heat, Celtics and the Bulls, you bet there's gonna be a lot of foul calls thats going to be made. Also, im guessing that we might try to trade for a bigtime shooter and let TWill and CLee man the 2nd stringers but if we are unable to do so, then we'd be happy with a shooting back-up PG like Farmar. I think thats why we dont see Farmar getting signed yet, to pursue a trade and maybe it would benefit us better. Remember, based on the reports, if its true, they plan to leave at least 10 million dollars on the table to have more leverage in the season or next year.

Im hoping to have at least 3 Centers or 2, and 3 PF's or 4. Outlaw will start with James to back him up. TWill and Clee will be our SG's, guessing TWill not being a starter. DH is our starting PG and looking for a back-up along with Udoh as a 3rd string.

Yeah at this point Thomas seems like a good fit with us. We are clearly not going to make noise next year and with that situatiion in Miami not for at least a few years. I am very happy that we aren't the Knicks, Bulls, Hawks, you know teams that are looking to win now because they can't. We need to bite the bullet here and continue to add good young talented players. I just hope we aren't a joke again this year. Yeah I can stand another top 5 pick but we need to show some improvement this season. If we land Thomas we will have a young talented squad and thats all we can ask for.

I think the depth chart will look something like this,

Harris/T-Will/Uzoh
Lee/T-Will/Uzoh
Outlaw/T-Will/James
Thomas/Favors/Hump
Lopez/Favors/Zoubek

We have some versatile guys like Favors, T-WIll, James, and Uzoh off the bench so these guys can mix and match positions. I like T-will as the versatile 6th man, James will back up Outlaw. Zoubek will see spot minutes if we are up against bigger teams. I think Favors should be able to handle the backup PF spot with sometime at C when we go small.

We just need to defend and run and we will be fine.

i think T will is definitely going to be out starting SG. avery seems to like him. and also t will is tryin to prove that hes a "warrior". lmao
i want us to get Tyrus but not for all the money im hearing about hes not worth it to me.
we should go after Luis Scola to be our PF hes a solid player who loves the game and plays hard every night. anybody know how much he would cost us?
and for back up C im fine with Zoubek hes a big body that rebounds well. maybe a ZAZA pachulia would be good but hes prbobaly gettin a lot of money.
i think a player that we should definitely get is KYLE KORVER. probably not gonna get him since rod thorn said it was him or outlaw. but we do NEED a knock down shooter to open up the floor for Brook and Devin. Brook cant handle gettin TRIPLED teamed (well i guess no one can) again.
as for back up PG Jordan Farmar is a good player who could really give us a 3pt shootin threat and a winner.
so this is what i want as depth chart
Devin/farmar/uzoh
T will/ Lee/korver
outlaw/ d. james
scola or tt/ favors
B lo/ zaza/ zoubek
playoffs next year?
