What the heck are we doing?

Post#1 » by Dexmor » Fri Jul 9, 2010 8:48 pm

Is Prock and Thorn lazy? Are the dumb? They said they want Tyrus (not saying it would of been good) but if they wanted him why did they waste time and not give him an offer? Now it's to late. They wouldn't pay Lee because he wants to much money? 20 and 11 for a big? THATS WHAT THEY GET. You have more money then everybody else.

Now what is left?

The only thing they can do now is sign Harrington and Felton or Luke.

NY had a smarter more active offseason then us so far. Redicoulus. Thorn knows he's leaving so he does nothing. I lost all respect for him now.

So you admit to not wanting Thomas, but you're upset because we weren't able to sign him... oookay.

No I would of liked it I just didn't want it to get derailed of should we or not. Bottom line, they wanted him and didn't bother signing him.

The reason why New York has had a more active off season is because they have to have a more active off season. They have a few young players with talent, but their roster is barren, literally empty. The Nets, meanwhile, can sign guys that are the right fit because we have young guys that will grow and need time, and then wait for a true home run to come around, if it ever does.

Yeah but we need depth. if thats the case why not get Craig Smith and RJ or Brewer? Whats the hold up? Could of hit a homerun but passed on Lee.

Lee is not a home run. We need depth as in vet min guys, not depth as in lets go out and spend all the cap space for no one.

I Have Been so proud of our position 2 weeks ago....It seemed like we were headed in the right direction.....Fast Forward up to now and Its like someone jus ripped out our hearts.....all we really needed was one piece...a starting 3 or 4...Rudy Gay Or Boozer or even Lee....Why save all this cap space and money just to be cheap.......it baffles me....We should have gone after boozer and gay from the drop....i would have overpaid for lee....i wouldnt mind getting outlaw if we had lee at the 4...bcuz our front line would have been a rebounding factory...

We're still headed in the right direction. There's a difference between being cheap, and being smart with your money. Just ask every one of these bankrupt athletes who pissed away their millions of dollars because they kept spending and spending on things that aren't worth it.

It is when the dominoes that kept on falling were overpaid dominoes not worth what they made in the market.

The point is to get into position to win a championship. Not to just pay who's available because money's burning a hole in our pocket. We drafted Favors. Unfortunately now we have to play a partial waiting game and try to make a great trade. Not spend a bunch for no reason.

Also recognize that by keeping money unused, we can bring back a great player without having to match contracts. It gives us a ridiculous amount of flexibility.
