Nets / Knicks sig bet? Updated 1st post for participants

Any chance you guys would want to try to put together a sig bet based on better record next year (maybe with only a mod as an emissary to the knicks to avoid potential suspensions)?

From what I've read here, it seems that many posters here probably don't think the Nets are going to be seriously competitive. However, I think we have a chance to win mid-30s And how about adding this to it; each win against the other team is worth an extra win. So even if we go 36-46 and the Knicks go 39-43, if we win the series 4-0 we win the sig bet (would have to be agreed to by the knicks fans of course).

Not sure if this interests any of you, but I bet the knicks fans would be interested since I'm sure they feel that their team is ten times better than ours. I think we end up with a similar record, but we'll take the season series to put us over the top.

I wouldn't participate.

For one, I don't want this team to win 30 something games just for the hell of it. Secondly, I believe the knicks are built to win more games right now, so I have no doubts that they'll end up with the better record.

I think this bet obviously favors the Knix right now, but what happens if one team makes a big trade midseason? Does it change anything?

Hopefully it changes our chances of winning for the better :) But the bet should remain the same. Faith in the front office (or lack thereof) plays a role in the bet.

I think the Nets have a shot at 35 games and the Knicks around 45. So no i'm not taking that bet unless you give me a handicap. Noone in their right mind would think these 2 teams would end up with records that are even close to each other. There has to be something to level the playing field.

Well we split the season series last year and we lost 70 games, so no.. I don't think so.
