Until the day Cousins changes my view of him being a better version of Zach Randolph only makes his teammates better and transfers his talents to the win /loss column, I will ALWAYS take Favors over him.

But again, it's summer league.

So you're asking us if we regret drafting Favors over Cousins because of a few games in Summer League?

The Favors v. Cousins debate was more about potential vs. present skill. Everyone knew that Cousins is the better player right now. That's not a question. The question that the Nets believe they have the answer to is "who will be the better player in 2, 5, 10 years from now?"

1)I admit that I think having Cousins and Lopez on the block would be a formidable duo if Cousins keeps working and keeps his head on straight. However, the Nets don't want worry about that if statement. Favors appears to be a guy that will just continue to work and work till he reaches potential. Most people believe that Favors has a higher ceiling than Cousins and believe that he will reach that ceiling.

2) Favors fits the uptempo system that we will have more so than Cousins. Favors is more athletic and will be able to run up and down the court with our guys. We don't have the talented superstar that can dominate in the half-court set. Except for the set post up plays for Lopez in a half court set, you can just tell by our player personnel that we will be a team that runs.

3) Favors listens to his coaches. I can instantly see Cousins getting into arguments with Avery (or any coach for that matter) and I can see why despite the talent, he wasn't the 3rd or 4th pick.

Despite all of this I still like Cousins. He is a gifted player and I would love to see both he and Favors succeed in the NBA.

Every one needs to chillax. There is only one DC and he was the best.... bonehead and the best player. For every DC there is 4 maybe 5 Favours. Don't get me wrong if the Nets selected Cousins All my fingers and Toes would of been crossed hoping he turned all right. I think I said that Favours was the safer pick in an earlier thread.

I have this advice for Favours

Up at 6 am
Four egg whites
Lift for 45 mins
1 litre of water
rest for an hour
shoot 500 mid range J's
1Litre of water
Protien shake and salad
rest
lift for 45
rest for an hour
Almonds and Cottage cheese
Main session
rest
STEAK and green leaf VEG and 1 litre of water

REPEAT for 3 months
And you bulk up stupidly

Cousins and Favors who?

The Nets have the next Kobe Bryant. Didn't you see Anthony Morrow in summer league a couple of years ago?

Yeah and PHI should have taken him too because Turner had a tough Summer League too.

We will be ok.

I never liked Cousins. I am VERY happy with out pick.

A Cousins/Lopez frontcourt would be fun on offense, but who would guard athletic 4s? I'm happy we took Favors, because it was the right pick.

Why, so he can talk about how well Cousins is looking in the all-star game? No thanks, dont come back at all.

I'm not saying he'll be wrong or right. I'm saying it's not fair to judge yet because we nets ALL kNEW! that Favors is going to take time to develop. If Cousins is an all-star and Favors is an average player, then obviously we're gonna hear about it from trolls.

Favors work eithic an natural gifts means he is gonna be good. The TWolves passed on Cousins for Wes Johnson. That is funny.

Its not a stupid thread..it was a simple question....rite now we dont have much to off of other than summer league games...i didnt say that I personally regret the pick..I just asked a Question..I jus figure i ask since we were going of leaning in either direction at one point with those two....by no means am I SOUPED off of summer league...I like our pick...I would have been happy with either or.....

Well, you made it sound like it was a rub in the face. You have to be careful on how you structure you "questions", sounded pretty rhetorical to me.

Ed Davis vs Big Cous right NOW. Lets see if they actually match-up and Cous plays PF (again).
