I think outlaw is a very important key for us..I think he'll be that third scorer behind brook and devin...Predicting He'll average 19.5 ppg 7.5 rpg 4.5 apg 1bpg wht do u guys think?

I think that you're nuts. Those are all-star numbers. If our third option is putting up those numbers, then we're challenging the Heat for the title next year.

So career high in everything? 15 5 and 3 with 1 is probably best case.

I'm thinking maybe 12 and 4 or 12 and 5. He's going to start, but with our depth and the need to get T Will minutes, along with James if he earns them, I think Outlaw is a 25 to 28mpg guy max.
Edit: You know what, thinking about this some more, maybe he does get 30 something minutes per game because he is bound to get around 10mpg backing up the 4 in small ball lineups.
I could see him only playing 20 at the 3 and about 10 to 14 at the 4, all depends on how Avery feels I guess.

Assuming he starts, I think Outlaw can average 14ppg and 5reb..he reminds me of Tayshaun Prince/RJ. Slasher and defender but can knock down shots from anywhere

Blazer fan here, if Outlaw is given a chance and the confidence that he will not be taken out over something small, that dude will light it up every night. his defense is not A+ but his offense makes up for it. you will love this guy and his post game interviews will crack you up. I wish we never traded him

thanks..I think he will surprise many if he's healthy and if used the right way. Could be a steal in the 2010 FA this year

You know the funny part is that even though on the surface it seems like Outlaw was overpaid, in 2 or 3 seasons people might be looking back on his signing and contract and comparing it to Rudy Gay's and even the past contract of Tayshaun Prince and saying what a good signing Trout was.
I don't know that he ever puts up the raw stats of Rudy and doubt he has the impact on both ends like Prince, but there's no reason he doesn't become a very important part of a rotation on a good team with solid numbers.

In the beginning? I think he will. I dont think there is any player on this roster Avery has to validate more than him. I think he got that contract because Avery said...I want THAT guy. Not saying Rod and others didnt like him...I just think...Outlaw got the extra mustard on that contract because Avery said...look...we didnt get the top guys...there is ONE guy I want...and made a push.
If I am right....as coaches often do...there will be the need to validate the purchase.

This guy has averaged about 13ppg at one point coming off the bench...so if he starts for us which I believe he will, I don't see why he can't put up the numbers I predicted...especially since were gonna have a run and gun offensive style.....all he really needed was minutes and he'll def get them here....you guys are really setting the bar low with this team...you should be excited....Brook can't be the only one that scores over 15ponts a night...scoring from our starters has to come from somewhere else...so I'm jus saying with avery handpicking this guy I'm sure he will put him in the best position for scoring opps...talent was never the case with him...it was minutes...now he gonna get those minutes

I'm expecting at least 18ppg 5rpg from Outlaw if he's getting starters minutes. He should have a bunch of 20pt games this season as well, similar to Devin's first full season with the NETS.

Don't know if that's the case. I think Rod liked him just as much. His name has been on every Portland/Nets rumor as far as I can remember.

15/5 from him is just fine. In fact, if they can get 45 pts out of Devin/Lee/Outlaw i'll be happy.

If we're gonna focus on D this year, we have to get at minimum 80-85 ppg out of our starting 5 with 10-20 points from our bench.
To tell you the truth, I don't care how many point anyone is scoring. As long as we don't blow many 4th quarter leads I'll be happy. If I recall from season wrap ups, we led the league in blown 4th quarter leads of 5 or more points. i know that's only 2 posessions, but I just HATE seeing that happen more than life itself.

There is zero chance our starters are scoring 80-85. ZERO.
and what kind of bench score 10-20, worst benches in the league score that much, with the depth added this summer they will do much better then that.

The Lakers starters, the best starting five in basketball, averaged 81.9 points last year. If that's what we're hoping for as a "minimum," we're in a bit of trouble.

Outlaw should have about 17/6/3 as his production. I hope he doesn't get injured.

First I'd like to say thank you for everyone blowing my comments completely out of context.
Go to basketball reference and look at the teams season ppg stats. Look at that then look at the points accounted for by the starting 5. Give or take, each teams bench averages between 15-25 points of the teams average ppg. Now look at our team, very heavy at the 2. Luckily we have Twill who could slide to the 1 at times, Morrow to slide to the 3 at times and Outlaw/James to slide to the 4 at times. There are not enough minutes to go around, though we're deep to to have our bench to average over 20 ppg.
My point is that in order to beat the better teams in this league, we are going to have to put up between 95-105 a night. That basically puts the pressure on our starting 5 to HAVE to put up between 75-85 points a night.
Did I saw we could do it? Hell no and you guys are twisting my words around. My point I simply stated is if we want to be in a position to win, our starters HAVE to put that up. Honestly if Devin returns to anything close to his 08-09 form stats wise, it's certainly not out of the realm of possibility, but it's what we'll have to do.
Yes we are deep, but it is unproven depth even though most of us like it. You can't make an argument about the Lakers or Magic or even the Celtics or any of those deep veteran teams because they have proven scorers and depth where they don't have to rely on their starting 5 carrying the scoring load. We will have to and that is the point some of you missed clearly by my comment.

Didn't read all that. Dont know where you're pulling your stats out of off. Here
http://www.82games.com/benchstats.htmThis is the best proof i can find. its 2008, the WORST bench in the league scores 23ppg, not 15 to 25. The BEST starting line-up scored 82ppg.

Those stats you're using are inflated. First they're per 100 possessions so they won't be entirely accurate because they're just percentages. Just got back and look at our roster in 2008 (that is the year your stats are using) Our starting 5 averaged more than 67.5 ppg. I've been basing all my information off of basketball reference by doing the math myself. But doing the math here, those numbers don't add up because it's percentages.
You can even go back and look at Laker stats and compare it to these you're looking at. Lakers starting 5 in the 08-09 season averages way more than 72 ppg
