1.Heat-Clearly there gona be the first place East team
2.Magic-C's are to old to beat them out again.
3.Chicago-Rose greatly improved and Noah always does, lost Kirk but gained some 2's and have a great pf combo
4.Atlanta-Should of let JJ go and need a big man but still have the talent to make 4th
5.Bucks-They could get 4th but healthy Bogut with CDR-Maggette and Jennings back is gonna be good.
6.Celtics-They are low because they cruise in reg season, they got JO but if they kept Allen they could of contended again
7.Bobcats-Livingston will be getting Wallace-Tyrus 2 lobs a quarter. Lost Felton but he was all wrong for them.
8.Nets-This is if the Nets stand pat. Now if they steal a star like an Iggy and get rid of Ross and Humpries and trade A Williams for a decet starter to come off the bench (Favors in an uptemp offense will be a beast no matter how young he is) then the Nets move up to anywhere between 3rd and 5th.
I see the Knicks losing alot of games and they don't have a pick next year unless it's the #1 to get rid of Jeffries (terrible move) so I hope they get the 2nd pick and it goes to the Rockets. That would be funny.
Thoughts? Anybody agree or think im way off?

I wouldnt say ur wayy off. but the knicks will probably beat out the nets for 8th or might even take 6th from the celtics. the knicks have stoudamire, gallinari, felton, and may be getting a guy like chris paul who demands to leave his team for a contender w/ stars. There is no way they are getting a lottery pick or not mking the playoffs.

My standings consist of
1. Heat
2. Chicago
3. Magics
4. Knicks - they may end up getting chris paul. plan on making there own big 3 w/ carmelo chris and stoudamire. time is the question
5. Atlanta
6. Bucks
7. Celtics
8. Nets.
Dont see the bobcats making the playoffs. they seem disoriented and not superior to our nets

The Celtics won't finish behind the Bucks just because they lost Tony Allen..

My Standings:
1. Heat
2. Bulls: They are a good team but, I don't see them getting too deap into the playoffs. They do not have enough shooters to spread the floor.
3. Magic: I think Magic are better than the Bulls but, the way standing works with division leaders they stay at 3
4. Celtics: Celtics I believe are the only team in the east that have a chance to win against the Heat.
5. Hawks: Had no real improvement this off-season they will only be a 2nd round playoff team
6. Knicks : This is where it gets interesting because I believe 6th to 13th seed in the east is a huge scramble. Each team has a chance to make the playoffs. Personally I don't see the Bucks making the playoffs but they did well last year so you have to put them in.
7. Bucks
8. Nets
9. Pacers
10.Bobcats
11.76ers
12.Cavaliers
13.Wizards
14.Pistons
15.Raptors

1. Heat (obviously)
2. Magic
3. Bulls
4. Hawks
5. Celtics
I could see 2 and 3 or 4 and 5 swapping or both they are a toss up but clearly the top 5 teams in the east.
6. Bucks (they will continue to build on their play down the stretch so if healthly they are #6)
Now we get into uncertainty
7. Knicks (they could easily fall out due to chemistry problems or health but you could say that about most teams. They have the offensive firepower/shooters to now play in D'Antoni's system so they should be better then the rest of the east who IMO are very weak after the top 6.)
Now for the shocker brace yourself. . . .
8. Wizards (Yeah say what you want about Arenas' contract but that aside the dude can ball and put up huge numbers. Wall is the perfect fit next to him because he will be happy deferring to him. If they can bring back Howard (not sure if they are) they will have a nice starting 5).
Wall
Arenas
Howard
Blache
McGee
That is more talent on the floor then any other remaining team can run at any time and talent will win out in the end. You heard it here first the Wiz

Dont mean to be the barrier of bad news...but do you guys really think we can compete with this roster... TO BE A PLAYOFF TEAM? We need to make a move FIRST before we can call ourselves an 8th seed..the east is to good and we arent competitive enough yet to consider ourselves being an 8th seed

tell you the truth i dont see how we can't compete.
We've got a solid starting lineup and a reallllly strong bench. What would u say we are lacking. besides a real strong pf currently.

I disagree somewhat. I see it like this:
1. Heat
2. Celtics
3. Magic
4. Bulls
5. Hawks
6. Bucks
7. Knicks
8. Nets
9. Philly
10. Wizards
11. Pacers
12. Bobcats
13. Cavs
14. Raptors
15. Pistons
I see the Bobcats dropping out because of losing Felton and Chandler. I think Knicks will probably be better than the Nets..they got a good supporting cast now with Amare in the middle. Philly can probably beat out the Nets but I think we have better coaches. Bucks will be the sleeper in the East..Eastern Conference should be better than the West for sure this year

I feel ya. I wanted the same this PAST season. 12 wins, and only a 25% chance to get it later...and its time they change the damn lottery system already.

I don't want to be in the play-offs. There's just no point now especially with the Lakers and Heat around.

The Bucks are being uber overrated ITT.
They overachieved like crazy last year and only had 43 wins.
I don't like some of the moves they made and they still rely on Bogut's suspect health.
Jennings is nice, but way overrated, let's see how he does while chucking away shooting 37% without Cool Hand Luke watching his back.
Salmons is solid, but he's a joke of a 1st option.
Maggette will bring that team down, he's turrible.
The Gooden signing was a joke, but contract aside, although he might be a good fit next to Bogut on offense, he is LITERALLY one of the worst defenders in the league, period.
They'll be lucky to make the playoffs this year.
The Celtics, barring major injury are still the 3rd best team, 4th at worst.
I think the Hawks take a step back this season. Team chemistry and internal issues are going to come bubbling to the surface this year that started last playoffs.
On to us. I don't see us making the playoffs, I expect somewhere between 26 and 32 wins, around the 5th to 8th draft pick. I don't think it's out of the question we make it if we stay healthy and gel, but it it's highly, highly, highly, unlikely.
I'm not even going to put my list up until the CP3 thing is over with though.
