Howard level? If that's Favors' ultimate potential, then I'll take him. Howard has such an impact on defense that it really is incredible.

...but I don't think Favors will ever be up to Howard, maybe not even near him, either.

The way the qurstionis being worded...

Who is the better player? Paul or Howard? Paul. His injury is the only hesitation.

Howard is a great rebounder an elite shot blocker. Offensively he leads a lot to be desired. And it has nothing to do with his PPG. Its his actually offensive skills. Not saying he is Dikembe Mutombo...but he is not an elite all around big man. Dunk contests, and commercials have made him an overrated player.

I don't know. Howard has taken a rag tag group of faux All Stars and above average role players to the Finals and then the Conference Finals in consecutive seasons. I think he has at least the same impact on the game as Chris Paul, if not more so and he doesn't have to even come close to dominating the ball.

Put a star wing on a team with Howard to go with a bunch of high quality role players and I think they're close to unstoppable, even against the triumvirates in Miami and LA.

I'd take Howard over Paul, just my opinion...

Taken them? Eh...too much made of that. That team is just that. A bunch of borderline all stars which is to say...it is the sum of its parts. A team loaded with options.

And Paul doesnt dominate the ball....he dominates the OFFENSE. He scores, he makes plays, he gets to the line...he scores at a very hig percentage while actually having a 3 point game as of the last couple of seasons. He is a top shelf rebounder for his position. One of the top 3 or 4 defensive backcourt players in the NBA. He has no weakness.

Howard? He doesnt dominate the ball...because he isnt a good offensive player. His offensive skills are lacking BIG TIME. This isnt Shaq who had an elite understanding of how to start the offense from the pivot. THis isnt TD with an array of post moves. This is a big boy who will score at a high percentage....but who has to be absolutely SAVED by thr 3 point shot because he simply cannot creat for others or see what to do out of the double team. His ft shooting as a result hirts his team far more than Shaq's ever did as that Shaq was such a complete offensive force.

Rewind a couple of seasons. Paul took a vastly inferior team in what was at the time a much stronger West to a higher seed than anyone expected.

That Magic team is huge. It has every weapon covered as a team. it has depth. ANd yes...Dwight is an elite rebounder and shot blocker...but his offensive game is so seriously flawed.

Hard pressed to find a flaw in Paul's game. I honestly have no problem saying...I prefer him to Wade or anyone else not named Lebron or Kobiatch.

Healthy...I truly believe Yao was a better Center than Howard. More complete. People fal in love with the comic book character rather than see the flaws this guy has. Great player? Yes. The complete package???? HELL NO!!!!

i might not haVe been clear on the topic?

considering the look of this team as well
we haVe a scoring center right now, does that help faVor's in this case, who if we knew is the next d12

we'd probably look to make other move's with either favor's/d12 or paul as the focal point so taking taht into consideration..any realistic moves that could be made what would be the better situation?
