Let's say the Nets move to Brooklyn change team names so they're now the Brooklyn Whatevers and leave the Nets history behind, then a new team comes to New Jersey and becomes the New Jersey Nets.

Which team would you support?

are you serious? if anyone answers the brooklyn whatevers is not a true nets fan. i would support any team from new jersey i dont care if theyre called the new jersey princess squad.

Yeah, I would. Like I said before, if they change the name from the Nets, I'm not a fan of the Nets anymore, I'm a fan of the Brooklyn team, and that's something I won't do.

absolutely. im not a nets fan because of the players. im a nets fan because im from new jersey. in any sport i watch as long as their is a team from new jersey they will be my team. if not, then i go for the closest team not from new york. so for me its pretty much new jersey/philly. i will never support a new york team even though im 5 minutes away and philly is like 2 hours.

I'd probably root for both but I'd edge towards the team with Brook lopez and Favors if they were to go head to head.

If(when) the Nets change their name, adios NBA basketball for me.

If they ever create a WNBA New Jersey team im gonna start watching WNBA 'nuff said.

Didnt Stern already say that he wouldnt put another NBA team in NJ once the NETS mvove to Brooklyn?

There was something about that, I can't quite remember what was said. The real problem with adding an expansion team right now is that it unbalances the conferences (31 teams total if a team is added), and I think the NBA is focused on overseas expansion anyway...

I can't see a team moving back to NJ, there is no way an expansion team or any other team could succeed. That's why we're leaving remember.

They better not change the name thats all I know so my decision will be easier.

You have a better chance at a team winding up in Seattle, Vegas or maybe a city like St. Louis or Kansas City even.

^^^^my dream is for them to keep the Nets franchise name and use your logo which I think absolutely perfect...If Jersey every got a another team, I would definitely follow and support both...but my roots will always be with the Nets franchise...
