WHAT ARE your thoughts on the potential of michael gilchrist, the best prospect in awhile coming out next year,.. would you move some picks this year and devin harris for a 2011 pick and then try to acquire gilchrist

Gilchrist/Lopez/Favours= Championships (multiple ones)

Gilchrist is a good prospect but idk if you wanna give up an all star PG for a prospect regardless of the expectations. Depending on how Harris does this year, will determine if Nets will wanna do any deal for another PG. I think Harris will be an all star PG this year under Avery

Gilchrist is interesting...but that offer is rediculous. We can get more for Harris. We're not gonna shed Harris + picks just for a first rounder. We'll want a solid talent in the deal coming back to us as well. Only way we do something otherwise is if we trade for CP3 with a deal that doesn't include Devin or Farmar clearly shows he's better as starting PG in this system and we want to shed Devin's contract to try and nab 2 good players in free agency next summer.

As of this moment though, that isn't a deal I'd ever consider for Devin. Obviously that could change depending on how this season goes, but right now that offer shouldn't even be up for discussion.

Also, where are you anticipating Gilchrist would go in the draft? I have 5-7 guys throughout the first round that I'd rather take over him at this point in all honesty.
