Wouldn't mind Humphries starting with Murphy out, especially if the Pistons are indeed starting Daye (should be able to overwhelm him around the basket) but knowing Avery... Veteran love it is...

This was a game I thought we could win, but not anymore, not with Prince in that lineup. That dude can ball, man.

It's tough to say that the first game of an 82 game season is important but we need to win this one. This will set the tone to the whole season. If we want to be in the playoff hunt this is a team we should beat.

Game 1 last year sure set the tone. We were up big then let it get away... for the rest of the year.

Yeah, this game should be telling, Detroit will likely be one of the 5 worst teams in the league this year...

Should be an interesting game with the old vets vs young legs. An early season game usually bodes better for vets due to them not being broke down yet, still Lopez and Wallace should be fun to watch. Good luck fellas.

I want to see how Avery shakes the lineup out. Most teams don't go 10 deep. SO after the starting 5 Harris, Morrow, Outlaw, Murphy (when healthy), Lopez, then where does he go. I think Favors (backup 4/5), T-Will (backup 2/3), Petro (backup 5) and Farmar (backup 1/2) will see steady time. With Petro cutting into Favors time (as he will probably be in foul trouble all the time).

So what do you guys think 9 deep with Favors, Petro, TWill, and Farmar off the bench.

James, Uzoh, J. Smith, Hump only for injury purposes.

I want James to get some playing time, but it will probably go to Graham for some reason I will never understand.

HERE WE GO FELLAS!!!!!!

NO FRANK!!!

That alone has me all hyped up!!!!!

COME ON BABY!!!!!!

I would love to see a starting line up of - Harris, Twill, Outlaw, Favors, Lopez, but I am ok with Smith. Morrow has shown me nothing. Yeah he spreads the floor but Twill makes everyone better.

As for the rotation, I actually think it will be a 10 man rotation. James will work his way into getting playing time because Morrow and Outlaw have defensive issues. if James was smart he would just play solid defense on those guys in practice and that is it.

LETS GO BABY!!!!!!

NNNNNN!!!!!!! EEEEEE!!!!!!!!! TTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!! SSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!
NETS!!!!!!! NETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NETS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ordering my Jerseys NOW!!!!

LETS GO NETS!!!!!!!!

It doesn't look like Avery's gonna have a set rotation on that PF position for a while. I think we'll see a combination of Murphy(when healthy), Favors, Humps and Joe Smith on any given night. Also at this point I think Twill is more of a 3 than Outlaw...Who just seems to be too slow for that position, he was getting blown by on the regular by Pierce and practically anyone he was guarding. And offensively it seems he's regulated to taking a couple dribbles and shooting a contested jumper if he's not open.

Either way I'm excited for the season and seeing the development of our young guys. This game against Detroit could go either way, but I'm hoping we start the season off right with a win!
