Going to the game against Sacramento tomorrow night. Anyone have advice on where the best spot park near the arena is (and how much it costs)? I've never been to Newark, only the meadowlands.

I went to a Devils game last year and parked literally 40 feet from the front door. It was a small parking area that held maybe 50 cars. I assume most people go by mass trans. If you go early enough I think you can park there but I'm sure it fills up fast.

It was $20 or $25 if I recall but it was so close it was worth it. There are signs directing you towards parking areas so just follow them but I'd go I little early to be safe.

Just park in the Ironbound for free and hit every bar on the way to the arena. It can be upwards to a 20 min walk, with a bar every 5 min intervals. Walking is healthy for you and you can have a good 3 beers in you by the time to get there.

I'm going Friday. Intial game plan is MouPau (sp), Hellz Kitchen, Arena.

God damn...

You're going to be able to tell who demens is on Friday by looking for the guy yelling to trade Lopez and Williams for Roy Hibbert and a 2nd round pick.

My friend from brazil that lives in New Jersey, went one day to newark (near to the arena) and his car was stolen.

That never happened with him in brasil. He was very mad.

two blocks down on Mulberry = $15...if you keep on walking it might be $10 or so...check out the prudential center's website, they give prices and locations...

Eeeshhh, that was silly. Crazy long night for me, end up kind of funny. Rt9 was closed off by Woodbridge mall and i didnt feel like taking a huge detour, so ended up going through a blocked off part of the road. 2 min later i came across road workers with that huge asphalt laying machine and there was no way around those. They had to move the machine, lol, 1 dude asked me 'how the hell did you get here'.....

Anyway, i was pissed that you cant leave the arena and come back. They let you outside at Izod (smoke breaks, etc). Prudential has a balcony for smokers but you cant leave the arena unless you give them a good excuse. Not nice, i wanted to go get some cheaper/better drinks. Had to settle for $12 jack at the Arena. It wasn't too bad as the bartender knew me from my old place and made good drinks, but still, thats too expensive.

The second thing that pissed me off is that they made me throw away my water. At Izod they would just take your cap but let you keep the bottle. I even used to bring an extra cap in my pocket. Dude told me i can keep the cap but no water. Whatever though, next time i wont hold it in my hand going in shouldn't be a problem.

I began reading this as "Two blocks on Marbury..." and stopped reading after that.

Thanks for the heads up.. I think I was just too anxious to get in there this time so we didn't really look around but i'm definitely going to look next time. $15 is more reasonable.

Thanks for the tips. I chose the $25 lot right next door to the arena. A little expensive, but couldn't beat the location.
