But here’s the most interesting story Favors provided today: Both played on the same team for the McDonald’s All-American game last year, but both couldn’t start.
“It was kind of funny. I was supposed to start but I left my jersey in the locker room, so he got to start,” Favors recalls. “When I got my jersey and came out I got right in the game.”
So did you outplay him after that?

“I won MVP.“

Be patient, he's still isn't close to being at a starting level.

Yeah, I have no problem with Humphries getting the start for now. Humprhies had a decent first game and I don't remember him taking any fade aways or shooting with 22 seconds left on the shot clock. He's a good rebounder and brings energy.

I don't get why the thread says v Pistons. Is there a joke i'm missing? Or is everyone too buzzed from opening night to notice?

I dont get the title.... Nets 98 Kings 91. My magic 8 ball was a little fuzzy last game but I still got the Nets win correct.

Yeah I over looked the game thread cause I was looking for vs. Kings or SAC. Let's just keep it vs. Pistons until we lose.

This should be a fun one. I bet we'll see them matched up against each other a few times tonight. Let's see if Cousins really goes at Favors like he said he would. Cousins should not be worried about Favors right now, he needs to be focused on what Lopez is going to do to him in the post and then we'll know why we didn't draft your fat ass.

So who gets the pleasure of guarding Evans. I guess we start with Harris and then give T-Will the job when he's in the game. Can we not go 12 deep this game there is no way we can keep that up every game. No need for Graham or Smith. Even 10 deep is alot but thats the most. I'd like to see it down to a 9 man rotation, it keeps guys involved.

2-0, is it possible, I think so.

Vegas has us as favorites again. With 73% of people actually betting on us.

I dont like the match-up here. Seems like Udrich always kills us and i think we will be overmatched in the post on defense. I think i remember Landry having his way with us too, now we'll have Cousins to deal with. On offense Lopez will score his, but i dont know how we will stop them on D. Unless Lopez stops being a baby and plays hard D without fouls. Or Favors has a 2nd great game (which i'm skeptical about). Or Cousins burns himself out by putting too much pressure on himself after promising to dominate the Nets. Also maybe Devin Avery can actually stop Udrich this time.

I want Favors to get at least 25 minutes in this game or I'll be upset. This should be a good game regardless though.

How are we favorites in this one after we got lucky and came back against a bad team now all of a sudden we are favorites, thats funny.

Supposedly we are starting Morrow on Evans, then we are switching to Harris and T-Will will get a turn. Avery is going defense by committee. Yeah I give Morrow 1 min 30 sec before that change happens.

I will be really surprised if we win this one. I say we lose by single digits. Sorry for the pessimism.

Good luck you guys. You guys got a great piece in Lopez to set your future up & as well as guys like Harris + Favors too.

But is that really your permanent 2-3-4 starting rotation?: Morrow + Outlaw + Humphries

I mean, lets be honest, that is one of the weakest 2-3-4 set I've ever seen lol. At the very least, start Favors at the PF position alongside a player like T. Will @ the SF position or something.

Anyways, I don't think anyone in the Nets roster can stop Evans (in before car/racing joke) single coverage. You guys have to double team him hard every time when he begins to do anything with the ball. But I could say the same thing about Lopez. I don't think anyone from the Kings could stop him either. Unless we a guy like Dalembert comes back early from his injury and defends Lopez well.

Hope this one is a good one.
