You guys are overreacting with Brook... He's obviously not in as good shape as he was last year, and his attempts at attacking off the dribble haven't translated into results... But oh well it's a learning process. The Nets were never going to contend for a title this year. Like last year this year should be devoted to player development.

I will say this though, in general the one thing that has disappointed me is that the Nets still don't have a clearcut style of play. Either slow things down or speed things up.

I also want to see more of Outlaw in the post as that is where he is most effective.

^^^^^^ LMFAO

Outlaw in the post? Are you kidding me? Dude he is allergic to contact. He gets looooong rebounds. He breaks out in a rash when a defender gets within 3 feet of him.

Post up Outlaw please.... Trade outlaw.... This is Rod Thorns Idea of a bad joke...... Mikhail you have been warned never ever screw with Rod Thorn.... Again!....

It's historically been where he's most effective. Power forward was also his primary position in Portland. Now I'm not advocating to play Outlaw at power forward - I'm saying play him at small forward but give him post up attempts (his length makes him very difficult to guard a la someone like LaMarcus Aldridge) - but it needs to be noted that despite his athletic gifts Outlaw has NEVER been a traditional small forward so to use him like one is not smart basketball.

What you don't want is Travis Outlaw "dribbling" (not sure if we can call what he does dribbling) out on the perimeter like a chicken with its head cut off and sadly... That's what we have right now.

HAHAHA...so true. Every time I see him put the ball on the floor his head jerks back and his body moves all over the place. I just put my head down and shake my head.

Avery's offensive game plan. It's become so repetitive that the opponent already knows what we're gonna do and we're in our th game of the year. First 4-6 minutes, just pass it to Brook. Farmar and TWill come in and they have no idea what to do but dribble for 15 seconds than hoist a contested 20 footer.

I detest the three pointers Morrow have taken so far. Only a number of them have been open, our guys haven't been successful in finding he open man at the 3 point line.

Which doesn't change the fact that he's most effective operating out of the post when he doesn't have to take more than a dribble or two before he shoots :-?

Someone go buy that synergy **** and prove me right. :D

Outlaw jumpers initiated from the post = very hard to contest because out of the post is one of the few areas where Outlaw puts his physical talents to good use. There's this misconception that to be a successful post player you have to be a physical player. That's simply not true.

Agree. Either he pump fakes and takes a difficult shot in the lane or he takes a contested 3. Our guys need to find a way to get him open.

Are you saying we should feed him the ball in the post or should he start in the post and come out for the ball (which he's been doing)?

Either way my stance is motion, pick and pops, the occasional hard drives from the perimeter (not calling him a great slasher) = Outlaw's offense.

I'm saying we do what was done at various times this Cleveland game and the Magic game. Post Outlaw up, give him the ball, and let him make a move (90% of the time he'll simply, turn, face, and fire) to vary his offense and keep him from over-dribbling.

Let Outlaw catch the ball in the post INSTEAD of having him continually pop out to the perimeter where his lack of handling is easily exposed.
