What's going on with him? He'll turn around and be a double double guy right?

Mono recovery period could take up to a year... Needs to put back on the weight he lost.

Also, Dwightitis takes a couple weeks to recover from. If he faces the disease tonight and bests it, he'll be fine going forward.

Weight is no longer an issue. He's back up to 265, I believe. The bigger concern is that losing that much weight quickly from mono affects core muscle mass. He's weak, but if he's strong mentally, he won't allow this to submarine his season.

Yep the reports are that he's regained his weight but he still looks really skinny as compared to last season. But either way you're right, he's weak...weaker than he's ever been. I know the Nets coaching staff have him lifting weights in early morning sessions so I'm hoping to see results as the season continues.

He is weak mentally and physically and he's always been weak, this isn't just because of mono.

yeh thats exactly what I saw last night  ...what you fail to realize, as much as anyone would want to ride a player who is tagged as the next so called allstar to wear a Nets jersey...Brook is still young, he is still learning both the game and himself...he's going to be a work in progress, but as long as you see performances like last night vs the Magic its clear this kid is going to continue to bounce back, work hard and continue to learn...

your closed minded statements are the real failures...

Yawn. What did you see last night? 7 of his 9 makes were from 7ft or more. Thats showing you his strength over weakness? Or was it his 5 rebounds?

Here are the break downs by qtrs.
Jumpers: 5/6
Shots within 5tf: 0/1

2/2
0/1

1/2
0/1

0/1
0/3

Thats 8/11 on Jumpers overall, 0/6 shots within 5 ft. I lost a made shot somewhere in there, you can look in the play by play for it if you want. I've proven time after time that the guy is a puss. If we want a jump shooting center that will get you 5 boards and play matador defense we should trade for Bargnani. I will never praise Lopez for hitting jump shots, or free throws for that matter, thats not displaying toughness. Take a charge! Dunk on someone! He didn't even do anything when Dwight was out of the game with 5 fouls, in fact Orlando made their run with Howard on the bench. But of course.....its never Brooks fault, noone ever passes to him....maybe they know if they do, and he throws up a brick it will destroy his girly little ego.

I'm going to introduce a new tissue brand called Triple B with Bosh, Brook and Bargs on the logo.

I will explain this the easiest way I can...I have no interest in reading your breakdown on Brook Lopez, especially after his performance against the toughest center in the game... we all know he has his pussy moments...I've said a couple of games ago, I have no idea how this guy doesnt dunk more and IMO, he is somewhat fragile upstairs which is why he needs to continue to mature and learn from his mistakes...Its a process that might take a lot longer than this year or even next...

But the fact reamains, I have no interest in reading YOUR whiny school boy posts...you are a walking broken record and often contradict yourself...we all know you only come here to complain about the Nets and its beginning to wear on this forum...

Another interesting note about our big bad tough center and his mighty performance against the NBAs best defensive center. And not just a note about Brook, but the whole team:

In last night’s 91-90 loss, it was easy to see that the Nets were settling for jumpers against Orlando’s tough interior defense. But one fact you may not know is that the Nets actually only attempted 5 shots at the rim – and didn’t make one.

Chillax everyone!

I know the fact Brook may be lacking in a lot of areas but I agree with the rest of the guys here that he is still young. Being only 22 years old and tasked to carry an NBA team's offensive load being the 1st option is really tough, to think that he's better than 3/4 of the centers in the league is already admirable.

Let's not judge him this early, he'll come around soon. Let's just all be patient...

I'm sure he himself admits his deficiencies, and like any young player, will do his best to improved on it...

You are such a clown. Do you make these constant exageration comments because you have a constant need for attention? I just wonder if you are like this in your every day life..constantly trying to annoy everyone...if you just do it here.

Your credibility on this board is lower than the average Knicks troll. I think I speak for the majority when I say...you are a nusiance poster. But, perhaps that is your goal. Hopefully, the powers that be decide that you shouldn't have been given a second chance in the first place.

I mean its not like the regulars here dont remember when you did the same thing under a slightly different username and got banned. We would have welcomed you back if you had made any effort to coexist with the rest of the board. But at this stage? Hopefully everyone else has grown tired of your childish act.

As for Brook...he'll be fine. Too soon to over think this. But...if someone is selling low in your fantasy league? BUY NOW.

He's physically weak so far this year. Lacks any kind of mental toughness which scares me if he's to be the future.
Seems he'll allways be a soft player.

he was draining his shots tonight .... his form when shooting 12-18 footers is actually pretty decent ...

i agree, he needs to toughen up .... stick to the block, and overpower his opponent. Take it up with aggression & purpose and keep the ball high. when he drops the ball down, smaller guys come & take it away, and when he starts his shot low, his opponent is able to block/tie up the ball more times than not.

Not for nothing, but he looks borderline anorexic. It's going to be tough for him to put weight back on and gain strength through the season. He needs to start eating pasta 5 meals a day.
