The Nets are in a pretty good position

I feel the Nets are in a pretty good position to be a solid team moving forward. The Troy Murphy trade was one of the most underrated moves of the Nets off season in my opinion. Not only does it allow Favors to slowly develop and not be thrown to the Wolves, but it also sets up several trade deadline and after season moves.

The Nets are pretty well off in almost every position.
PG:Devin Harris is a lock at the PG with a solid back up in Farmar.
SG:Terrence Williams should be the eventual starter with a good sharp shooting backup in Anthony Morrow off the bench.
PF:Favors will definitely be the Starter with a solid back up in Humphries off the bench.
C:Brook lopez is a very good center and has the ability to be top 3 in the league.

That leaves the SF position and I feel like Outlaw is a pretty good player. I think he might best coming off the bench though. Now Troy Murphy is a free agent after this season, so you could allow his contract to expire and have a decent amount to spend on free agents this off season depending on the new CBA, or they could make a trade at a deadline for a starting quality SF.

Tayshaun Prince is the first person that comes to mind. He has a similar contract to Murphy and is also a free agent after this year. You could also move him to a playoff team that is looking for a good veteran big man to make a playoff run. Wilson Chandler is another player that comes to mind...he will be a restricted a free agent this upcoming off season and the Nets might be able to offer him a contract that the Knicks can't match. I wanna hear what you guys think of this.

Murphy has been garbage so far definitely would rather see Favors and Hump in there right now. Outlaw however seems to have found his touch though. He'll lose it eventually and we'll hate him again.

Yeah Harris has been a beast this year and you can see what happens when he's off the floor.

Barnes is the way to go. We need to catch a break, get us Barnes or Irving at the least.

I think you need to support the headline more. "The Nets are in a pretty good position"...to do what?
To make the playoffs? To win a championship/Develop a championship caliber team? To get the first overall pick?

IMO it's way to early to declare that the Nets are anything. The only thing that we know for sure is that we are not winning the championship this year. Personally, I hope that the Nets will be in a pretty good position to get Irving in June.
