This is just too Weird

Post#1 » by Rockice_8 » Thu Nov 18, 2010 1:02 pm

Outlaw and Morrow just can not seem to get going together on the same night. At first I saw the stats after the first 5 games and was just like well it's early that just a odd stat they'll break out of this. Now we are moving away from just coincidence to just plain weird.

Just in case some of you don't know what I'm talking about here are a quick look at the stats. Here are Morrow and Outlaw PPG through the first 11 games.

Morrow (left) Outlaw (right)

13 - 5
4 - 18
5 - 0
11 - 6
5 - 17
25 - 5
10 - 27
21 - 5
3 -20
9 - 23
24 - 3

As you can see aside from the Heat game where neither went off they just take turns scoring and can't seem to score together. There has only been one game where they both score in double figures. That right there shows how young and unfamiliar we are with each other.

Really if we could just get 14-18 pts consistently out of them we would be much better instead of getting 25 from one and 6 from the other.

Quick side note: I think the Jazz game is going to be a familiar sight to see this year with us hanging tough and losing close games. I'm pretty happy about how we are playing as a team in general but you can see the lack of a stud offensive weapon is holding us back from going from decent to really good. Adding a top flight scorer is the only objective right now without losing any of our foundation.

Ok so who can we get for Murphy?

No one worth a crap? Murphy's value is as an expiring contract...that's it. Which won't get us anyone except for some guy who is talented, but is overpaid and has a long contract.

I'd like to see their FGAs for these games. Is there just not enough touches to go around or like last night with Outlaw, is one of them just totally off.

T-WILL and Murph for Josh Smith.

Outlaw did take like 10-11 shots last night so it's not like he was 0-2 or anything.

Should we revisit the IGGY trade idea centered around Murphy/James/Pick or do we go smaller and then hope for to keep enough cap room to sign Melo.

I just find it hard to see Melo coming here even if we are better then the Knicks. I just think he wants to play there no matter what.

88% of both Morrow and Outlaw's shots are jumpers.

That's all you need to know really.

Maybe one should come off the bench.

It maybe too early still, but something has to be done with this starting lineup.

I am happy Avery realized that we dont need a stretch 4. Hump and soon Favors is what needs to be paired off with Lopez.
