Correction. The Knicks overpaid for a star who's long-term health outlook is not good.
truth serum wrote:And to say that Petro is SIGNIFICANTLY better than Mozgov is almost funny if I didn't think you were serious. Petro is exactly what you said he is- an average backup center, while Mozgov is a legit prospect with a lot of potential who is lacking experience more than anything else. You just haven't seen him play enough.
Mozgov is about 6 months younger than Petro and has had quite a bit of seasoning overaseas, if he's a legitimate prospect than you have to say Petro is as well. The difference of course being that Petro is a more efficient scorer, can actually defend at the NBA level, and is not a walking turnover a la Mozgov.
Good ole' Timofey Mozgov is averaging 1.4 TO in 12 minutes a game, which might not seem too bad until you do a little researching and realize that his TOV% (turnover percentage) is HISTORICALLY BAD.
Right now Mozgov ranks 23rd worst ALL-TIME in TOV% of players who have played at least 17 games in a NBA season.
Face the facts. Mozgov = Stiff.
