Prediction: The Nets defensive struggle continues, as they lose by double digits to the Chicago Bulls, 107-94, thanks in part to Derrick Rose shredding the Nets defense much like OKC star Russell Westbrook did in their last game. Brook Lopez and Devin Harris combine to account for 50% of the Nets offense, but fail to get enough support from the rest of the team to match Luol Deng, Carlos Boozer, and the rest of the Bulls.

20 minutes: Derrick Favors minutes
40%: Troy Murphy, Jordan Farmar, Travis Outlaw combined shooting percentage

I'd stop making them if people start making them. Besides, I actually put some effort on this one. So maybe I'll get a win before the year is over. If not, I raise the motion to ban me from making future Game Threads this season...

What happen to B.Lopez? I really like his game but 1.3 rebounds more then DRose.

Several factors. One is that he lost a lot of strength/weight due to his bout of mono in the off-season, second is how he's used (playing more away from the basket, and leaking out early to establish early position in the post), and finally, Brook just not fighting enough for position as well as Humphries stealing boards from him.

Neither player will likely be missed. Hopefully less Murphy means more Favors.

Should be another depressing Nets loss.

Hopefully the bulls think this will be an easy win and just want to get out quick to go party for new year's and the nets will take advantage. Wishful thinking.

I still don't understand why we start BOTH Graham and Outlaw.

Tell me I'm crazy. Tell me Rose didn't get mugged like 3 times in that quarter without a call.

You would think with all the money these players get payed they wouldn't miss free throws. COME ON OUTLAW.

Well not today. I forgot farmar was out, but even if he weren't this would still be the same starting 5, which IMO doesn't make any sense when we're facing a team with a horrible SG like the bulls with Bogans.

Uzoh is awful, why does Avery give Harris so much rest? I don't understand, he's our best scorer and he gets like 30 minutes a game. Harris should average 36 MPG.

Harris and Uzoh both with 12 minutes... huh?

Lopez was getting mauled down there...and he didn't get a call.
