Seems like Robin was trying to talk some trash to Kris here? Did anybody ask them what this was about?

He said "Thanks for putting me in my place. I know my brother wasn't coming to block me anyway".

This is one of the few instances where I'm going to trash Brook, but not due to this play.

While it was AWESOME to see, this play was designed to draw Brook out of the middle.

I had a looong post not to long ago stating this exact thing though. IT IS EXTREMELY EASY TO GAME PLAN AGAINST THE NETS RIGHT NOW. In the post, I mentioned how teams run plays to pull Brook out of the paint. Any good NBA coach would do this like 85% of the time against us. Coaches would much rather attack Kris Humphries one on one than Brook. Now I'm not saying it's because Brook is some amazing defender, I'm just saying it's easier attacking Kris than a 7-footer.

Now for my bashing of Brook. I WOULD GIVE UP MY FIRST BORN TO SEE BROOK SHOW THIS KIND OF COMMITMENT. Where is the passion Brook? You have talent no doubt and, yes, things are working against you this season, but you show no commitment to the game more than you feel you have to exert. Brook needs to have his girlfriend cheat on him or something. He needs to find some angst to play with. Or just take a cue from Kris Humphries.

That commitment Kris shows is probably why Kim Kardashian wants his babies. If you're not doing it for the fans Brook, do it for the hot celebrities that will flock to you if you just gave a damn once in a while!

Maybe he needs to get a celebrity first and then he'll start to player better. I wonder what he thinks of Paris Hilton lol...

Because Kris had to recover to wipe away Brook's lack of willingness to check HIS defensive assignment. Look at the play, as well as the one earlier in the game where Robin posterizes Kris. both times, Brook just doesn't hedge hard on the screen, and compounds the error by not even showing effort to get back to his man. It's pitiful.

It's official what Robin told Kris:

http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/new-jersey-nets/

Kris Humphries: He’s just like his twin brother [my teammate, Brook Lopez]. It’s always interesting to get his reaction. He said, “You got me. You got me good. But I got you first.”

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Glad to see the Lopez family raised such talented and goofy children.
