I can't wait...

I can't wait until Deron is back next year and healthy so people can remember that he is the best PG in the league. How quick people forget can be astonishing.
For comparison sake, just take the PG's in the league that others believe is the best right now:
Derrick Rose
Passing: Deron is a much better passer than Rose. I wouldn't be surprised if someday it is discovered that Deron actually has 4 sets of eyes because of his incredible court vision. He knows where everyone is on the floor at all times.
Closing: About equal at closing games for their teams. If Rose ends up closing games and getting to the finals, an argument can be made about closing, but so far, they have gotten to the same level and take over games when necessary. Deron has hit lots of game winners in his day and as some have said, he is just entering prime, much more to come.
Creating his own shot/Penetrating: I think they are about equal in this category. They can both get to the basket, create space through their dribbling and both can finish at the rim really well.
Dribbling: I don't know a better crossover than Deron's in the league, do you guys? Guys that guard him need a retape during timeouts.
3-Pt shooting: Deron's season career 3-Pt shooting is 35.5%. Deron's playoff career 3-Pt shooting is 40.2%. Rose's season career 3-Pt shooting is 30.9%. Rose's playoff career 3-Pt shooting is 25.3%.
As far as Chris Paul goes, I think it was pretty close (and fun to compare for a while) until his left knee. I don't think Chris will ever be the same. If he does, I think D-Will and CP3 will again be discussed as the 2 best along with the media's chosen one.
Westbrook is another great PG, but I don't think he is on the same level as D-Will, Rose, CP3 yet. Maybe in a few years.
Rondo - don't make me laugh. Rondo is excellent, but again, I think Westbrook and him are on a tier below.
It is possible that down the road, Rose can compete for the best, but people are just enjoying the Rose storyline and the hype, quickly forgetting how amazing Deron is. Deron will be back next year and if they land Howard (which looks like a possibility) they will all be enjoying the double d bombs.
Although Deron isn't on my team, I am going to follow him and cheer for him.
Anyway, just my thoughts.

I agree but Rose is on his way to being in the best. If he can improve his PG skills and 3pt shot his athleticism puts him head and shoulders above every PG not named Westbrook. Rose is pretty much on that unguardable level now. The way he can get into the lane is pretty incredible.
Right now it's a 3 player race for the top spot. You could realistically make a case for CP3 (as long as his health doesn't fail him), D-Will, and Rose as the top PG.

I agree the amount of hype Rose gets is unbelievable... For his age Rose is very very good but you would think he's better than Jordan with the kind of pedestal Bulls fans put him up upon.
People rate Rose based off what he might become instead of what he actually is.

Quite honestly I would still put Rose ahead of Williams and say hes the #1 point guard. However, I would contribute that to seeing Rose play more often than I have seen Deron. When Deron was in Utah I aways knew he was one of the best at his position from highlights and ESPN but being on the East coast you see much more Chicago Bulls games on live television. And once the Nets landed Deron he wasnt 100% and missed a few games. Going off of the list of the OP I have to say Rose has a better crossover, and better at creating his own shot. The athleticsm Rose has to get into the lane and just squirm around in the air to get an open look is ridiculous. He makes some of the playes that Dwayne Wade makes look like foul shots. At this point I would put Deron at #2. I think his size, defense and consistency being on the court puts him ahead of Paul. Youth and explosiveness puts him ahead of Nash. Nash is probablly a better passer but thats about it, and not to knock Nash but hes getting old and isnt the same player. Westbrook and Rondo shouldnt be in the discussion as best PG in the game. Westbrook is too selfish and Rondo doesnt have the dominating presence of a Rose, Deron or Paul.

man doesnt matter that theoretically Williams looks better on paper as pg, i remember Rose rookie season and even then he outplayed Williams, compeering those two guys dont have completely no sens, one is top pg second is top NBA player without split on position, much better team leader etc.
if Jazz could get Rose probably they would throw not only Williams but whatever Bulls would want to( and current hype dont have much to do it), Sap+ draft picks and so on, thats hove big difference between those two is. Dont get me wrong peps Deron is great player but, imo he is not franchise player like Rose is and thats why Nets need so bad guy like Howard to be consider as east top team.

Just ignore eLo. You have to reread his posts about 5 times to get an idea of what he is talking about and after that fifth read you see that his flow of logic fails miserably.
Just to give you perspective, he was arguing the Jazz should take Jimmer Fredette with their Nets pick...boggle...
That should give you insight into his ability to analyze a player.

Westbrook is a 2 guard pretending to be a PG at this point. He is below all the guys in this conversation...although he is still a stud.

At this point I'd rank the PGs: Paul (if healthy), Deron then Rose

show me where i put that statement, i said not once that Jazz should pick Jimmer but i dont recall that i ever said that they should use Nets pick for him.

sorry for that, if it was illegible to justify my self i got to said that english is not may native language, i now that there is to much stuff putted to one bag i didn't have time to corrected it etc.
What i mean in that post was that, yes Williams is great player but Rose is like guy from different league for him, and thats why comparing those two is pointless, at least imo.

^^If you're implying that Rose is in the same tier as Lebron, Wade, Howard etc.. then you my friend are wrong.
