Beasley
Cited for speeding and marijuana possession. I'm not a huge fan, but with his value very low due his off-court problems and a log jam in MIN at both forward positions, he would be worth the risk.
Even if he doesn't pan out he's an expiring contract that could be helpful with any Dwight deal. Or he could be a great scorer off the bench behind whatever FA is signed.
I'm just wondering what MIN would want for him? Would Farmar, cash and a 1st(heavily protected) or 2nd rd pick get it done?

i love Jordan Farmar. But if that could get it done then i would do it in a second. Beasley has a lot of issues but if we get him hed be our third best scorer on the spot. hes still only 22 and just avg 19ppg so if he can mature this would be a freaking steal.
Playoffs this year, Championship in 5 years.

Re: Beasley
Yes w/Farmer & No with 1st pick.
Beasley is expendable right now due to Derrick William's arrival (unless they prefer Beasley) and with a lot of off-court issues, his value may not be at the highest at the moment.
However, we still need to add a few sweeteners for Minny to bite...
If ever we deal for him, it may be just as a trade asset. I'm not sure Avery would be ecstatic having him in the line-up...

Re: Beasley
Beasley has crazy potential. However-- his charcter issues off the court will not land him in Jersey. Can anyone seriously see Avery cosigning bringing him in? Dude is a head case.
OKC Thunder fan, too.

I think he could be a good risk reward type guy, but as low as his value is I still think it would take a 1st and an OK player to land him and his cap hold is incredibly intrusive on 2012 FA if we go that route.
I don't know that he has this ridiculous potential that people believe by any means though and his defense is just awful.

Re: Beasley
like I said worst-case he's an expiring contract, but I agree it's not likely to happen. He is the type of player/contract combo that could be valuable without risking any 2012 cap.

I'm pretty sure they were joking since Outlaw and Petro are the worst players on the team.

Now you know how everyone else feels when Lakers fans start bringing up Dwight, CP3, etc. to the Lakers

Don't listen to LA fans because they have no credibility when discussing trade proposals. Their vision is skewed by all the favorable transactions/thefts they've been apart of.
