Avery Johnson says he intends to be 'closer' in Nets' free agent negotiations

Coach Avery Johnson hopes to become involved in recruiting free agents to the Nets.
Avery Johnson said he hasn't spoken to any potential Nets free agent targets, but he will.
"I plan to,'' he said today at the Nets' practice facility, where he was made available to the media for the first time before training camp begins.
"I think sometimes with me, I’m like Mariano Rivera,'' Johnson said with a laugh. "They bring me in to close the game.''
I nearly dropped the food that I was eating when I saw this.
Yeah, you really reeled and closed in on Outlaw nicely.
