Would anyone be interested in placing a bid on our old pal RJ? It would be kind of cool to see him wear a Brooklyn jersey after everything that has happened.

If he still has it in him, then sure, considering he'll be cheap. I think Spurs kinda misused him by making him a spot up shooter.

I rather spend the money on RJ than the $7M on Caron. I'm sure RJ will come cheaper too.

Agreed. I was thinking the same thing. Less risk of injury as well.

I would take RJ back anytime...especially as he will be getting paid from the Spurs, could he come at the veteran minimum? I would do that in a hearbeat...as long as he knows he isn't coming in to be a star...just an important roleplayer.

This. I hate that we're offering 7M to a player who just won a championship while injured and is just waiting to get paid. I'm not even sure if he'll be motivated...

Hell yea, but like anything it depends on the length and dollar amount of the contract.

I would take RJ over Caron 10 out of 10 times.

Sure, sign RJ then go get Carter and in March bring in Martin from China. Once thats sorted we can all jump in the delorean and go back to the finals

If I were you guys I would go for it...
Depending on final wording of CBA all you have to do is be the highest bidder...
So depending on what other under the cap teams are actually interested in RJ you could get him for really cheap.
3 years remaining on his contract...perhaps 2.5-3 mill a year

Don't understand the sarcasm. It's not like I'm asking if he could be a 2nd to 3rd option again.
According to Hollinger's profiles, RJ had pretty good defensive numbers and has become a great spot up three point shooter. He'd be a nice, CHEAP, option at the three.

Any interest in Bruce Bowen?
