Wojo just tweet this.

This is a good thing, right? This means no Nene (more than likely), which means Nets confident in Dwight?

Shelden Williams seems like a vet minimum deal.

If it's true, he'd be the first official Knick (fan) that was turned into a Nets fan lol.

I like signing A LOT. Shelden Williams is a very underrated player. This guy can be a huge steal for us. I believe he can be a good complimentary player to a big man that gets a lot of attention (I.e. Dwight or Brook) He never played with a type of big that gets lots of attention. I see him being a tough hard nose defender that does a lot of the dirty work. Basically I see him as a more physical Josh Boone with a somewhat descent midrange shot.

He's good for the minimum. He doesn't have much size, but he can rebound pretty well, and he isn't (Please Use More Appropriate Word) on offense.

Yea, a pretty decent signing for the contract.

This reminds me of when we signed Collins to a 4yr/$20 mil deal lol. Shelden Williams is better than what Jason Collins was at the time and yet he's going to certainly play for much less than what Twin got.

I want the Nets trade for D12, but i would be very happy with Nene.
But i'm from brazil, so... I'm a Nene homer... lol

Shelden Williams isn't a bad player. Good backup and better than half of the players we had in this situtatin (vet min) in the last years.

this move is most likely to take away players that know knicks system. Knicks will have to start fresh with all new players.

Knicks fans hated Shelden. And for good reason too. This man is an awful player. Cant even call him a big man, because he plays very, very soft. After landing Williams as a throw in from the Melo deal, our front office wanted nothing to do with Shelden come this years offseason.

Enjoy, because he's only a career 4.5 points/4 boards per game type of player. Waste of a roster spot. Rookie PF's put up better numbers than this career bust. Honestly, not only is he soft on the boards, but he's horrible on the offensive side of the ball. Just wait until you see him try and dribble or shoot.

There's a reason why he's on the verge of playing for his 6th team over the past 6 years. Just trying to give you Net fans a heads up, but don't worry; you'll soon see.

Thanks for the heads up, I just canceled my order for a Nets Shelden Williams jersey.

Fun fact: He actually had a pretty good PER of 15.9 in his short time on the Knicks

He'll be playing for the vet min. He can't suck as bad as Outlaw so that's all that matters.
