I was the one that suggested keeping the same thread until we win, I'll be damned if I'm not the one that creates the new thread after said win. I'll update this within moments.

Poll Question: Who will score more points, Johan Petro or Joel Anthony?

If Wade and LeBron still aren't playing, and we keep up our shooting (maybe not 48% from 3, but guys hit their shots the way they're supposed to), we MIGHT have a chance at a win.

so no james definitely, wade might play? we might have a chance although this is the team that beat the hawks but then again they lost to hawks with wade/james if I'm not mistaken...

I didnt see the raptors game but from looking at the stats the Nets still shot only 38% so i see us losing this game with or w/o wade/lebron

With Miami being without both LeBron and Wade on a team that already lacks bench depth/role players to begin with.... There is no reason why the Nets shouldn't win this game. I'll be pulling for NJ due to my heated hatred for the Heat dating back to our heated rivalries of the late 90's to early 2000's. I like NJ's chances here.

Atlanta lost to this same Heat team...the same Atlanta team that destroyed us twice now, and they actually have the bigs to guard Bosh, who went off for 30+ points anyway. If he gets hot, he'll have a field day against our great frontcourt defenders of Petro and Shelden Williams.

No way is this an easy game, especially for these Nets.

Woooo.. I feel sorry for the Miami Heat. They playing the Nets at the wrong time (winning streak).

As man defenders...I actually think Petro and Shelden Williams aren't that bad, and Humphries played great defense on Bargnani tonight, who's somewhat like Bosh in the sense that he's got range and mobility. The thing is, Bosh draws fouls very well, and all three of those guys are foul-prone. So that's something to watch for.

Also, Atlanta didn't destroy us the 2nd time, we barely lost that game, and if it wasn't for a bunch of stupid plays down the stretch, we would have won. Not making excuses, but that was an evenly matched game. And Jeff Teague played amazing that game, while he sucked against Miami, that was the difference.

Agree that it's not going to be easy (not at all, we're still underdogs), but I'm not going into the game feeling defeated right from the start if the only member of the big 3 that's playing is Bosh. They're a very beatable team without Wade and LeBron.

I actually like Shelden Williams as a defender as well.

On the other hand, Johan Petro is the NBA's best kept secret...there's seriously nothing he's good at, and gets paid $3M because he's a tall dude.

After posting this obvious BS, NYK StateOfMind goes back to the Knicks board and laughs at the notion that the Nets can win the game vs the heat

...anyways. They have a lot of good three point shooters and those are the teams that kill us. Hopefuly we can contain Bosh and MVP candidate Norris Cole and edge out a win.

He's been a total non-factor for us so far so if he doesn't play it shouldn't affect the team's chances of winning tomorrow.

whats your starting lineup when everyone is healthy? Is one of Brooks or Morrow always gonna come off the bench? Or could they start together at the 2 and 3?

Brooks or Morrow will always come off the bench. Stevenson is our SF now and James will be his back up id say when he's fit. Although sometimes Avery has had Brooks on the floor with Morrow playing the 2/3.

Lineup will be

Williams
Morrow or Brooks
Stevenson
Hump
Sheldon Williams or Petro if Okur is having problems with his back again.

Brooks or Morrow will be our 6th man.
