Vince Carter vs current Dunk Contestants

The field this season really disapoints me. I think that this shell on the Mavericks known as Vince Carter could probably still out-dunk these guys.

I would much rather see a contest of faded athletes like Kobe and Carter, guys who are good dunkers who have not been in a contest for a while like iggy, Josh Smith, Gay, Ariza, JR Smith, etc.

I understand that the contest can be a way for guys to make a name for themselves, but having guys who are virtually no-names or name-onlys competing seems like a waste.

IDK dude, I think this year will be great.

I wouldn't have minded seeing Elliot Williams or Kawhi Leonard in Shumpert's place though instead of this literal no name dude they replaced him with, one of maybe 7 guys I didn't know even exists in the NBA.

Last year was **** if you ask me. Just deep fried ****.

Why wont they do it?

The difference is, Carter did **** in game dunks were great and clearly holds the best Slam Dunk Contest dunks EVER.

best dunker of ALL TIME. After watching the dunk contests the last couple of years, I finally realize how spoiled we were when carter was in his prime. This guy's dunks were absolutely spectacular, and most importantly, I can't remember a time when he screwed up a dunk. That's special.

He's a over scrutinized player outside of dunking, and a forgotten star. Some didn't even know he's approaching 21,000 points along with some healthy career totals in rebounds and assist for a SG.
