Warriors/Bucks Trade

Post#1 » by Ronito » Wed Mar 14, 2012 12:30 am

Looks like everyone around the league knows what's going to happen with Dwight, so now the moves are being made.

Bucks and Warriors have agreed in principle on trade to send Bogut and Jackson to Warriors for Ellis, Udoh and Brown, league source tells Y!

Don't like it for the Warriors. Not that Ellis is great, but they also have to take back Jackson's salary?

Warriors owner gave up on his Dwight pursuit, meanwhile the Magic can't get Ellis for Dwight at all now.

Dominoes are really falling.

I like this a lot for GSW.

So so for Milwaukee.

Not much of an Ellis fan, especially in a city like Milwaukee on that roster with Jennings?

Oh, yeah, big shout out to the homey Jarrod Rudolph! That dude on point!

I think GS got more upside. Bogut healthy is a bigger difference maker than Ellis and it solves the Curry/Ellis problem.

Also don't understand it for Milwaukee, unless they were just done with Bogut because of his injuries.

Yeah... IDK why they'd want another shoot first PG. I'd think that they'd clash a bit, no?

The Bucks cant be seriously thinking of playing an Ellis Jennings backcourt.

I think Jennings is on the block, maybe look to trade with the Lakers or a team in need of a point guard. Jennings for Gasol?

I like the deal for GSW, they get the centre they needed badly and I think would fit nicely with Lee.

Not sure what the Bucks end goal is in this to be honest, like I said they must be looking to move Jennings.

I don't think they even have a point guard on the roster outside Livingston now lol.

Ellis is a shooting guard.

Jennnings might as well be.

Udrih is a combo.

The more I look at it the more I like this for GSW, a great deal for them. Bogut is a really nice piece and Ellis is completely overrated.

Still think the Bucks could sneak the 8th spot

I can see this deal being terrible for the Warriors with a small chance it could be good. I think Milwaukee just wanted to clear cap, can see them moving Ellis in the offseason.

With Bogut out I can see GSW being in full tank mode for this season to keep this years pick in the lotto.

Curry, Lee, Bogut and a lottery pick is a nice core

That is the only way it would end up being good for the Bucks. If they are able to move Jennings or Ellis. Sure they clear cap, but if they're thinking of an Ellis-Jennings backcourt for the long term I just don't see it ending well for them.

The rare trade where I dislike it for both teams. If bogut manages to stay healthy then it's a win for GS, but since that's not gonna be the case, it's safe to say that both teams got worse. People thought a Curry/Monta backcourt was redundant, they're gonna get kick trying to watch Ellis and Jennings play together.

Whatever. The important thing about this trade is that now they've opened the floodgates. I expect a few more trades to be announced in the next 12 hours.

Bogut averages 65 games, id take 65 games of Bogut over a full season of Ellis.

I also think this trade has alot to do with the GSW 1st round pick as well because if they end up with a top 7 pick it's theirs in a stacked class. I still think GSW made out like bandits.

Ya, I like the Lee/Bogut pairing.

Didn't even notice how they were on the fringe of losing their pick to the Jazz, wow.

In 08/09 he played 36 games.

In 09/10 went down later in the season, missed the last 13 and the playoffs.

In 10/11 He played 65 games but he was far from healthy. He was literally playing with one arm and in return had his worst season offensively since his rookie year.

In 11/12 he's only played 12 games.

I really don't like this trade for either team, to be honest. However, if it makes the Bucks a lock for an 8th seed and kicks out the Knicks, I love it. Also, it gets rid of the chance of Jackson or Ellis to Orlando, not like I thought either would have made Dwight stay.

Anyway you slice it, this is a great trade for the Nets!
