Seems like an absolute bargain if it's true.
Trout was offered more than him ? ~ Simply amazing.

Great deal for Denver. Looking at the Stuckey contract compared to this....wow. I think he could have gotten 9-10 million in the open market.

Good deal for Denver, although I thought you can only lock up one just off rookie scale guy to a 5 year deal on your roster at once?
Chandler's a nice player.
This exhibits how bad the Wallace trade really was though.
There's a good chance he would have opted out this summer anyway and we could have got him for the same contract we wind up resigning him to if he even stays.

These are the days when Outlaw gets $35 mil, gets amnestied, and someone gives him a second shot because they think he possibly can't be that bad, and now he's averaging 3.3 ppg on 30.9 FG%/18.7 3FG% and has more personal fouls and turnovers than blocks, assists, and steals combined.
Chandler got a good deal. We were all assuming he'd get more than that.

Deal is essentially 4 years for $35 million.
Still not bad.

Which doesn't change the fact that Chandler is overrated. Chandler's more productive as a power forward than he is as a small forward he needs an up-tempo system to have success.

How is he overrated lol?
Dude has been gone and no one has been talking about him.
He was overrated right before he was traded to the Nuggets. He got exposed mightily during the end of the season and the playoffs.

Ironically he's similar to Crash.

I'd say somewhere in between a lot closer to Wallace.
Wallace is definitely better though.

Wallace in his prime could effectively play either small forward or power forward, Chandler just has too much tweenerism in him, he can't draw fouls to save his life and is pretty awful off the dribble. Not that Gerald Wallace has ever been creative off the bounce either, but at least with him you get strong assaults to the rim...
Chandler would much prefer to shoot the three or take a long two-pointer than drive into the teeth of the defense.

And for what it's worth I don't hate the deal for Denver I just have a feeling they're going to go the way of the Rockets at this rate.
They're going to have a number of very nice players but lack the star power to challenge the great teams in the NBA.

If Gallo doesn't finally bust out or they don't make a consolidation trade I completely agree.
I wouldn't even call it the Rockets route, I would say the Denver route, it's what they've been since they traded Melo.
They're like a super Sixers if anything.
