Wade is amazing on offence & defence
KD has been even better and more efficient on offense.
Wade's defense is good, but only when he decides to play defense. People act as if he plays top notch defense all of the time.
There are plenty of Heat fans who even say that he takes a lot of time off defensively.

MIA vs. OKC tonight. We'll see who puts on a show.
I went to an OKC vs. MIA game last year, when Wade had the dunk of the year on Perkins. There were moments of glitz and glamour for the Heat that made the top 10 on SportsCenter, but Durant quietly murdered MIA and just made LBJ look foolish on defense.
I feel like people don't watch OKC enough to see how good they are (and how good KD is) at times.

Well... it's still better than being a mediocre defender in general.
As for Durant's offense, yeah he's been more efficient than Wade, but Wade just has there better all around game. Can pass, score, get to the line, block shots, force turnovers, good mid range jumper and is just as good off ball.

I agree that Wade has the larger skillset, but he's not going full-throttle and using it like he used to.
Durant is putting up better all-around games more frequently this season.
Wade shouldn't be rewarded just because he CAN/has the potential to do something, but doesn't do it all of the time.
KD is getting monster double-doubles this season w/ several 30+ and 40+ point games and 10+ rebounds.
There seems to be an underlying assumption that Wade can still do the same, but chooses not to and because "he can do the same" and plays better defense (again, when he wants to), he's better.
The Wade and KD difference will probably need to wait until the postseason when Wade starts playing more minutes and has to go full throttle the entire game.

The only reason that Wade hasn't played more minutes though is because he dealt with injuries in the beginning of the year, and his minutes went down, and he missed time. Since he's come back, he's been on a tear.
I think Wade's ability to create off the dribble for himself and for others is a lot better than Durant's, even now. Especially his ability to play PG. Durant can't do that yet. Wade can legit carry the offense when LeBron goes to the bench. IMO, he's the only other player in the league that can consistently almost replicate LeBron's production (maybe not this year, because LeBron's playing on a ridiculous level this year, but any other year).
Wade is a better defender imo, even at his baseline level of D.
I just feel that Wade's all-around game trumps Durant's super-scoring.
Definitely at least makes it an argument, don't see how anyone could think it's Durant definitely.

I honestly have to give it to KD over Wade for the previous ranking, especially this season. Dude has somehow fond a way to top his impressive play, and clearly has to do more than Wade. I also think Wade hit his peaks seasons ago, hard to believe the guy is 30 right now while KD is 23. Wade posses almost every skill set needed in a franchise player, but he doesn't always show it, for whatever reason. Its just my opinion though.
