Build-A-Team?

Post#1 » by AVERYbigmistake » Sat Apr 7, 2012 9:45 pm

So hypothetically if there was a new build-a-team... What should be changed so things run smoother? I kind of have an itch to start one up again, but time is a bit limited so I don't know yet...

Were there Email notifications for when it was your turn to draft? If not, then that.

Make sure that the people playing are actually active on these boards/other team's boards on a regular basis. One chink in the draft kills the entire flow.

At least you didn't have to face the Twilight Zone Defense. Nash and Dirk would've went shot so poorly, it would seem like they came down with serious injuries. Just ask Speedy... :D

Nash - Defenseless overrated fake 2 time MVP
Mayo - Overrated trash
Gallo - Injury prone soft
Dirk - Aging on the Decline
Dwight - MAJOR headcase
Derozan - One dimensional inefficient chucker
Geroge - Good young player

No wonder your team lost ;-)

Well if you put it like that...

I'll just have to draft every young role player I can find 4 rounds too early and tank for 2013 like JG!

I don't even remember the team you're talking about. All I remember doing is destroying you in the trade we did the first BAT go around. How does my Goran Dragic pick look now? My only miss was taking Roddy Buckets over Ty Lawson.

Dragic
Afflalo
Batum
Seraphin
Don't remember

Don't hate.

Oh FML the BAT forums were removed because no one logged in on March 29th  talk about terrible timing...

Looking at this though:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub ... rZnc&gid=5

Whoever had the following team got ROBBED:

Rajon Rondo / James Harden / Paul Pierce / Blake Griffin / Marcin Gortat

And with Millsap and J.R. Smith potentially off the bench?

Beast.

We did a fantasy draft & someone had a program that simulated the games, gave you stats & broke down the game.

Just normal stat lines like box scores, was fun as hell but took ages to draft because as soon as 1 person didn't pick the whole thing grind'd to a stop.

You know what I just realized? I put Jeff out of both his BAT and Fantasy Basketball misery.

Why not get an advanced list of top priorities? If someone takes 8+ hours or whatever you give him his highest ranked player

Yeah we tried that and people couldn't be bothered to send in lists or would spend 1 million hours trying to get a trade done.

I ain't even mad.

I shouldn't have even made the playoffs in the first place. Eric Gordon (my second round pick) only played two games. Danilo Gallinari (my 3rd pick) missed half the season. Ricky Rubio (my 5th pick) missed the last month.

And I had players that put up huge numbers after I cut them... Gooden and Ilyasova.

I'm in a great position heading forward. I have a 2nd and 3rd round pick in next years draft and I already have Aldridge, Gortat and Rubio locked up.
