The final game as the New Jersey Nets and what a game it will be.

Lineup:

NEW JERSEY

C- Jordan Williams
PF- Deshawn Stevenson
SF- Gerald Green
SG- Marshon Brooks
PG- Sundiata Gaines

Toronto:

C- Jamaal Magloire
PF- Ed Davis
SF- James Johnson
SG- Alan Anderson
PG- Ben uzoh

That's right former Net Ben uzoh, the guy that couldn't even get in the rotation of a 24 win team last season is starting for the Raptors, along with other former D-leaguers and/or 12th/13th men. Deshawn Stevenson will be starting at PF and two former D-Leaguers and two rookies join him in the starting five. Who will out-tank the other? Find out at 7:00 pm Only on Si... err.. I mean YES.

And for those that admire my gif, here's the whole sequence:

Has anyone figured out if we lose and are tied for the 3rd worst record where do we actually end up...

or for that matter 4th or 5th, etc...

N Ireland Nets wrote:True but our position from the coin toss doesn't really matter. Under lottery rules, if four teams finish with the same record (Nets, Cavs, NO & Kings) each tied team receives the average of the total number of ping-pong balls shared by the four. However, if that number is uneven, and in this scenario that would be the case, there would be a coin flip to determine who gets the extra ping-pong ball. Best case scenario, the Nets would have 107 ping-pong balls or combinations, giving them a roughly one-in-nine chance to get the overall #1 and a one-in-three chance at a top three pick.

So basically the coin toss would add like 1 ping pong ball so doesn't matter really. By the Cavs winning, NO winning and Kings winning we'd have a good chance to jump to top 3.

Hump and wallace are hurt and if we lose and get 3rd place tied with the other team we all get the same amount of lottery balls.

The only way we could finish tied for 3rd is if New Orleans, Sacramento and Cleveland all win and we lose tonight.

If we do end up tied with the other three teams a coinflip determines who gets the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th pick but ultimately all have the same odds of moving up and getting the 1st or 2nd pick.

Can we also just flip a coin to see who wins this game instead of playing it?

Raptors, too, are bringing in the heavy artillery. Who doesn't love the NBA lotto system?

Ugh...tank's looking good, but hard to cheer against your team. In addition, we're watching some horrendous basketball.

Box score watching doesn't seem like a bad idea right now. I'm watching this, draft coverage, Yankees, and Devils.

Yeah, I'll be mainly watching the draft and flipping to this every now and then.

The Yankees can yank these, so not worried about that and I'll give a gander on the Devils game every half hour, but I don't care much about hockey.

We're down 16. The team doesn't have the firepower to catch up.

In a perfect world Cleveland, Sacto and New Orleans all win and then we proceed to lose the coinflip and we finish sixth overall.
