Nickname for Barclays Center

I've been thinking about this for a while...

CAA/Izod & East Rutherford = The Swamp

Pru Center & Newark = The Rock

Barclays Center & Brooklyn = ?

What do you guys think the nickname should be?

It could be 'The Cage' because of it's steel facade but that makes it sound to rugged.
It also looks like a nest/bill of duck-billed platypus but those sound weak. Maybe we could call it 'The Platy' for short lol.

"The Yard"

Part of the "Atlantic Yards Project." Also gives it that urban, Brooklyn feel to it where streetball is king.

I think it has to be related to Brooklyn geographically rather than its appearance. Unless you want to call it the Dome

The Yard sounds nice

I think there should be some reference metal/steel or Brooklyn.

I obviously think of a real yard of grass when I say 'The Yard" and it doesn't really fit for NYC.

The Bush just has too many bad references for it to be considered lol.

Hmmm, how about one of either:

"The Hub"
"The Station"

Since our logo/color scheme is based off the old-time Brooklyn Subway System, our arena nickname could be centered around that. The way the arena is situated on the junction of the two avenues, it does look like the hub that Brooklyn will revolve around.

But doesn't the bush get f'd, not the other way around. So shouldn't it be:

"The Bush, where the opposition get to _____ us."

Mere inconsequential details.

And you have a sick mind. What I meant was...

The Bush. Where the competition comes to get trimmed.

Or...

The Bush. Where the competition comes to get cut down.

Pervert!

I think that it was cool to say "I'm going to the Swamp" or "the Nets play at the Rock".

The Rock and the Swamp just cool and classic because they're not formal names and they are somewhat associated with their natural surroundings.

How about the Rat Nest? jk.....

Im stumped for now.

The Iron Curtain

It's a massive wall of iron around the arena and replicates the hardy nature of all Brooklynites and obviously we're owner by a Russian.

I'm actually coming around the Yard, but kinda as a reference to a Train Yard.

When I think of Barclays, I mainly think about the steel surrounding it.

Also, the steel panels are interconnected like a bike chain or the chains that support bridges Maybe "The Chain?" Image

I've also thought of:

The Bullet
The Tank (which is actually quite fitting considering what we've been doing the last few years lol)
The Lab/ (like Brooklyn laboratory/Brooklyn factory)
The Deck (roadway portion of a bridge)

You started it! Should I have kept it PG-13? I thought we were all adults here.

Barclays didn't pay to have their name on it for it to be called something else.
