Nothing worse than when a crazy man has control of a franchise. Jerry Jones/Billy King/Matt Millen.

So there was absolutely no need to trade for Wallace, that's now been confirmed.
Only way you could have any sort of argument is if Wallace was given a 5 year deal by holding his bird rights to help reduce the cap hit & money per year.
Just a complete & utter joke of a trade & a huge overpay for a top 10 player at their position on the decline due to age.

Terrible deal. Hopefully its at least structured in a not half bad way (backloaded, not all guaranteed, etc). Still wouldn't make sense.

You guys are overreacting.
This is not a terrible deal. A terrible deal would have been signing OJ Mayo to any sort of contract (like many were clamoring for).
It seems like many people are allowing their dislike of the Wallace trade to color their opinion of the Wallace signing...

maybe this Joe Johnson trade rumor has some legs and this is to make the number work. Crash , Petro, and Morrow or Farmar.

I doubt it unless there's some tightly sealed follow up deal that Atlanta has planned or they're including Marvin Williams in their deal to the Nets.

I thought we had it bad with Otis. How can you have one superstar begging to join your team and still screw things up so badly.

Now no one can say they wasted a draft pick.

Can we stretch provision this deal? The amount is kind of high, but I think most people won't argue that they don't want him on a five year deal because they think his legs will be gone by the 5th year.

Believe this deal is eligible for the stretch exception. Would make it 3 years 33MM I think?

People are over reacting so much now a days that it's crazy. I'd rather have this signing happen then not happen at all because then we would have to hear every b*tch about the trade 24/7

LOL, we screwed it up?
We threw away our draft pick, but none of that would have needed to happen if that superstar wasn't the most indecisive pussy on the planet.

Howard is certainly not without blame but it is not his fault King traded the sixth pick for nothing.

Don't love it, but after the 5/35 Outlaw contract I can live with this I guess....
Wish it could have been shorter than 4 years, though.

The reason the 6th pick was traded was because of DWIGHT HOWARD how do you not get this?
