Oh, man, Al Thornton, how far you have fallen. I remember when people were going crazy over him like five years ago, now he's on the Nets summer league team. Classic.

One ?:
Will Brooks play against Orlando? If they are near a deal for Howard, You'd think that the Nets will pull Brooks, right?
And boy, I'm looking forward to see Tornike Shengelia play!

Born and raised FSU fan- so I'm hoping Al can do something to impress the coaches. Unfortunately- his work ethic has always been minimal at best.
Besides- no one has fallen farther than the 3rd overall pick- Mr. Adam Morrison. Epic fail.

I just tuned in and the lights are off. The obvious conclusion is the Adam Morrison shot the lights out.

He has the Nets only 4 points at this point...

Fans are going to be pleasantly surprised with this kid. He has game. I'll have to check the box score later (since I can't watch it) to see how he does. I like him and I like the pick.

Why is Brooks even playing in summer league? I thought he showed more than enough in real games last season for him not to have to re-prove himself all over again.

He doesnt want to get traded to Orlando, that's why he is playing

he clearly doesn't want to be traded anywhere, because that was just a complete embarrassment. he still has no interest whatsoever in driving the ball to the rim.
shengalia looked... huge. and mobile. and active as hell. he has very broad shoulders and a strong base, like he can potentially defend either forward spot right away. which bodes well for his chances at making this years team. actually cant imagine why he wouldnt make the team, if we think he has a future might as well get him started early rather than waste a roster spot on some d-league scrub... at worst hes damion james with some ball-handling and passing ability

I watched the game yesterday live. Loved Shengelia's game, even though it took him a while to realise that you can't be as physical over here after getting 3 fouls in one quarter.
He's active as hell and looks a great passer with good defence. He's obviously raw but you can see the potential plus he finished the game +16 even though he only scored a couple of points.
I think he could be on our roster for the season.

Is it just me or are summer league games just completely unwatchable?

Yeah. Its a mix of the quality of play and something about the atmosphere. IDK. I mainly watch to see these rookies in action, but it is really tough to watch.

I cant believe you guys have Adam (someone buzz cut that guy) Morrison playing on your summer league team.
Taylor looks like a solid young player.
