Good signing. I'd like to see what this kid can do in an actual NBA game.
What impresses me most is his D, which we sorely lack in the front court...
Now, off to the defensive back-up C!

deserved it. i like to see us committing to developing this kid, even if his game is a little reckless right now, his size, skill level, bbiq, and work rate are all very promising.
we know one of those spots is going to a backup 4/5 type, wonder if this eliminates our interest in bringing back damion or if we still like him for the final roster spot.

He's going to be a great energy guy as our back up SF with small minutes but will develope as the season goes on.
I think he has a chance of being a good player, love his passing and defense

I'd like to be excited, but from I've seen he's just an energy guy that can't shoot or defend.

He is a good man defender by the looks of it. Moves his feet very well and stays in front of his man so I think he's a great energy guy who can defend and doesn't need the ball in his hands.

It looked like he lacks the lateral quickness to stay in front of his man. And to support my observations, every scouting report on him talks about his defensive struggles. He doesn't need the ball in his hands? His offensive game is attacking the basket off the dribble. He can't shoot or provide spacing off the ball and actually isolated the ball pretty frequently in Europe.

One of my friend's used to call me "Toko" in college.... kinda weird.
So how does Tornike = Toko?

Defense in Europe is totally different than in the NBA.
In Europe he wasn't great at defending because it's all zone and he kept making the wrong decision in the zone defense more due to his age and being raw. But in man defense he looks very good .
What I meant by he doesn't need the ball is that he will be basically the 2nd unit Wallace. He will be a glue guy that runs the floor and cuts to the basket. He won't get plays ran for him etc
Toko is a very poor shooter and thats his biggest weakness that needs serious work.
But he can defend, hustle and run the floor. He'll be fine

What are the rules with him playing in the D League? Obviously the opportunity exists for him to earn minutes over Bogans and Stackhouse, essentially as the primary backup at the 3.
If that doesn't happen can he be sent down to Springfield?

Glad to see we offered him a spot.
It'll be nice to see how long it takes for us to work him into the rotation.
I definitely think he can learn a ton from Gerald so I'm happy Toko's here.

Was there really ever any doubt he wouldn't be signed? Especially after his summer league performance.
I like the signing as well- but I'm optimistic of him truly making the transition going against far more superior competition than he saw in Orlando.
I wish him the best of luck though; he is definitely an intriguing prospect.
