The Celtics are already going to have the built-in excuse that they played today and tomorrow. It's all the more reason to run like we did yesterday.

A huge game to test us and see where abouts we're at in the grand scheme of things.

Agree with this statement. This and Knicks game will somehow give us an idea on what to expect from this team in terms of conference competitiveness and division positioning...

we need gerald back so teams can't put their 3 on joe. no way boston should be able to play terry with deron, jj, and crash on the floor together. i mean, he flat out just can't be out there. jj can guard him, he can't even come remotely close to dealing with JJ.

marshon coming back kind of **** things up... i really don't rate him or bogans over childress with any lineup containing JJ.

This is going to be a huge test for us, especially with Crash out.

I'd like to stop starting Bogans, he kind of sucks if his shot isn't falling. Bring him in off the bench to defend Pierce, and go with the 2 PG lineup to begin with, with Watson/Deron in the backcourt, and JJ at the 3. The Celtics are going small in the backcourt anyway with Rondo/Terry. JJ guards Pierce, Humphries on Bass, Lopez on KG.

We need to stop crashing the offensive glass as much though, because when it doesn't work, players are leaking out and getting easy baskets in transition. Lee and Rondo killed us in the preseason with that. I love Evans, but he's one of the biggest culprits. In fact, all of our big men are. And when it's clear that we're not getting the rebound, the other guys have to run back and not just stand there in place.

Should be a good game. KG is a damn good player, but he and Bass are jump shooters. I don't envision them having monster games. Paul Pierce on the other hand...
