What do you guys think of him? He is playing very well this year and he compliment brook lopez perfectly... Very athletic and long, has very quick feet, good finisher, has a midrange shot, has the ability to face up, and can block shots. You think we can get him for Marshon?

Love Sanders. Was telling people he would be a guaranteed NBA rotation player by the beginning of Maynor's last season in college. Don't see Milwaukee parting with him on the cheap though. If it ever was there, that ship has now left port.

I agree but he needs to stay out of foul trouble...

Yeah I'm not sure if he's going to be great or anything, but he has a chance to be a special type of role player and has the looks of a guy who would be a great fit next to Lopez, or a Kevin Love, LMA, Blake Griffin, etc.

When it comes to trading for a player on his rookie contract I've always maintained that the ideal time to trade for them is after they are coming off a bad or underwhelming rookie year.
The ship on Sanders has passed for now but some guys who I was advocating the Nets should go after in the offseason were:
Marcus Morris, Markieff Morris, and Jan Vesely. They've all shown flashes at times but have for the most part failed to live up to expectations.
There's obvious talent with all three of them but if you believe in that talent you need buy now.
Also I'll throw this name out here even though I'm not sure the Nets have what it takes to acquire him... Derrick Williams.

ilyasova continues to suck ass... do the bucks consider ilyasova/sanders for hump/marshon/1st at the deadline? gets them out from under a long term deal, allows them to find minutes for jon henson, brings in a talented, big guard, and of course an extra first.

I would not give up all of that for Ilyasova. I feel I have always had fairly realistic expectations for MarShon but Ilyasova just isn't as good as advertised.
His three-point shooting LAST YEAR not THIS YEAR was a fluke.
I really can't understand the huge hard-on people on this board have for him... It's like the Stromile Swift fetish all over again...

i'm actually with you. never wanted ilyasova, argued against him all last year, rate hump over him which i assume is a minority opinion here. and that is quite a bit to give up only to take on a long term, untradeable deal, and gamble on sanders developing into a consistent 35 MPG defensive stud.
vesely is a very interesting idea, and we could probably get that done. he's big, he's a freak athlete, he hustles, and he's aggressive. a little more respect from the refs, some pointers from reggie and he could turn into something. much rather bring in a young prospect to root for and watch improve than commit to watching the painful decline of players i couldn't give two **** about, like carlos boozer and nene hilario.
