I have a feeling that Deron's shooting is going to carry over from last game and he'll play really well. Hopefully, Brook is back, but I don't think we need him. We should be able to beat GS as long as the other players step up like they have. JJ needs to step up, and a low-profile game like this is the kind of game he plays fine in.

@HowardBeckNYT: Avery Johnson says he's hopeful Reggie Evans (flu) will be available Friday vs. Warriors. Brook Lopez (foot) is out, but improving.
@HowardBeckNYT: Lopez went through a light individual workout. If recovers well, will take part in shootaround Fri. Then possibly practice Saturday.
@HowardBeckNYT: If Lopez practices Saturday, that would theoretically put him on track to return Sunday vs. Milwaukee.

Good. Glad to hear that Lopez is working out. Hopefully his foot doesn't respond poorly to the workout.

Is she famous? (I sound exactly like the elderly lady in the Jay Z/subway video)

The Nets media notes are calling it a mild sprain of the right foot and he is still considered day to day which is a bunch of bull because, its been stated, he has yet to participate in a full contact practice...

Why does all this sound eerily familiar?

Lopez has already done a light workout and it was announced yesterday that Lopez is scheduled to practice on Saturday, and possibly play on Sunday.
They're taking extra precautions.

Chill JJ...there was no practicing for Lopez at all last year.
We were completely left in the dark until they officially dropped the bomb. This time they're actually giving us updates as to what's going on cuz they already know the fanbase is freaking out.
If we're already this worried about his foot, we should probably look to trade him for a more healthy player lol. Realistically, he may have recurring foot problems from time to time, but until we actually hear that he's gone for 8-10 weeks with a hairline fracture, I'll be ok.
Here's the last update from the team:
Brooklyn Nets @BrooklynNets
As for Brook Lopez, Coach Avery said he didn't participate in shootaround, but underwent treatment, put up shots. No setback. Team decision.

He'll miss 5 games minimum I'd imagine. Still sticking with that.
I can see him being held out til Chicago though. Even the Jazz game.
Yes they are being cautious, but this stuff is still scary.
