Great thread. Can't tell you how apathetic I'm feeling towards this game though.

Probably no Lopez, even if we have him he'll be limited in minutes, rusty and apprehensive if not overly wired.

Knix are killing it, our team is playing like absolute trash and the game is on national TV.

Yuck.

The Nets will lose this game by 19 or better. I'd wager a 24 pt beating if Deron and Johnson even remotely approach this game like the last few contests.

They have not shown anything remotely worth being positive about since Lopez went down.

The Nets have, if I am not mistaken, the league's most expensive backcourt and neither one of them have shown a lick of leadership or the intensity to win since Brook's been out.

For this team to lose more than 2 games in a row is not only shameful, but it's a disgrace.

When we get drubbed on national television, all of that "brooklyn" this, and "brooklyn" that nonsense will be pissed into the toilet. The Knicks are a better coached team, and their veterans show more leadership than Deron's pouty ass or Joe's non giving a **** ass.

**** both of them. Joe Johnson is a piece of ****

I would say we get drubbed in this, but I think Lopez will keep us in it to an extent and he's looking very likely to play.

I'd imagine we lose by between 7 and 10. Probably simultaneously not as close as the final score and closer then the final score.

Something where we keep pace in the 1st, get smacked down in the second go into the half down double digits, trade baskets in the 3rd with some varying runs, cut it to maybe 8. Fourth comes we go down by like 17, then we go on some sick run towards the end of the 4th, get it down to 3 with about a minute left but some facepalming turnovers and shots leave us having to foul a few times in a row and that's what puts the loss between 7 and 10.

I guess I'm the only one who thinks we compete and pull out another close victory only to lose to Toronto?

I think it will be blacked out on ESPN. If not I might DVR it on YES and watch it on ESPN and MSG.

Screw ESPN, I'm watching it on YES. I can take TNT, because of their halftime show, and for the most part, their commentators are great (but Kerr is so anti-Nets it's not even funny)...ESPN commentators are just morons, and their halftime show blows.

Lopez? If we battle on the glass-box out, close out shooters and our perimeter defense is good, maybe we squeak one out...And maybe Deron and JJ execute in the same game  :-o -- how many times has this happen this year?..We all know its a toss up at this point who shows up for the Nets, my confidence with this team is at a season low...

Gotta say ESPN/TNT seem to have an absurdly higher picture quality then MSG/YES, dunno what the deal is and i could care less if that **** is altered on espn and tnt it just is so much more ascetically pleasing, I always end up switching between the two and not being able to watch the local feeds after seeing the difference.

We cant stop their pick and roll. i know our PnR defense has been substantialy better... but the knicks, specifically chandler, run it as good as anyone has in a long long time. I'm really suprise the knicks didnt go to it even more in the first matchup after the success it was having.

i assume they learned from that, and just abuse us with it completely.

i think our only shot is if carmello goes into hero-mode early thinking he needs a revenge win and shoots them out of the game. that and them missing 3's. we love giving teams wide open 3's, and they love making them.

knicks 122 nets 79

Everyone from the coaches to players need to be held accountable for their ineptitude during this slippery slide the Nets are on.

Hopefully the Nets use this game to get back on track- because you better believe the Knix are going to bring their A game after they underestimated the Nets the first game. I doubt Woodson lets that happen again.

I think the Knix win by at least 15

Also, not to be a Deron apologist, because I do agree that he needs to be way more assertive than he is right now, but I really do think that a ton of his problems are caused by the fact that he can't shoot...which is caused by the fact that he's injured.

He just naturally plays more aggressive when he knows he can hit his outside shot with consistency, and when he is lighting it up from outside. Right now, he's even admitted that he's not shooting with confidence, which is making him hesitant when we need him to be aggressive. It's a horrible mindset to have, because his confidence shouldn't be shaken like that, but if he can get some consistency with his outside shooting, I think his passiveness pretty much goes away.

I really hope he has a big game tonight, we need it.

Let's not forgot, in these last two losses we got up by double digits early and pretty much relaxed and the other team played much harder.

It's more of a focus and effort factor than anything else which is why I expect them to get up for this game. They won't want to be embarrassed by the Knicks but I can see them taking a night off in Toronto followed up by another disappointment at home against Detroit.

Any chance we see a 30+ point explosion tonight by Deron?

JJ hits his open shots all game long?

Wallace gets under Melo's skin and forces him into a bad shooting night?

Brook Lopez comes out with a cap and mask and saves the world?

Uhh, not too optimistic -- But you guys all better be watching the game on YES.

He should've been posting up Monta Ellis and look how that went.
