Ilyasova, who easily could be a Net – has double double against them tonight: 17 pts, 10 boards.
Because this trade is the answer

People making some big assumptions and jumping to conclusions, but honestly I wouldn't be so surprised if it happens.
If it's something like Hump and MarShon for Illy and one of Beno or Dally I can dig to an extent though. I'm not a big Ersan guy but he has shown legit skills last year, has a pretty deadly jumper, is vastly underrated as a pick and roll player and gives a lot of effort with a high motor.
Hump is a mediocre 20mpg minute eater bench big paid like a star role player and MarShon is trash, so it's not bad value, although I'd prefer they waited for something bigger.

Woelfel's only real inside information since Larry Harris left seems to be on what happened to Ersan this offseason. I'd think his "could easily be a Net" refers to what his "inside information" that said the Nets were very interested in him this offseason. He said that the Nets were offering more money then the Bucks paid but wanted him to wait until after the Dwight ordeal and he went with the Bucks.

Bucks won't trade anybody as long as they are in playoff contention.
It's just not how they work.

I think the Bucks could trade Ilyasova just to clear up their log jam at PF. They have too many bigs and need to get rid of one of them.
Their roster need is at SG, where they are playing Monta Ellis. Pairing him with Brandon Jennings is a losing proposition.
Their other need is to avoid taking on long term salaries. The thought is that herb Kohl is looking to sell the team now that he is nearly 80 years old and is retiring from the US Senate. That likely means that they are not interested in adding salary that is already on the books or acquiring rookie contracts that would force them to consider making a financial commitment in the near future.

I'll be honest from a simple fit standpoint, I think a trade with the Jazz makes a lot of sense for the Bucks.
Something like Jefferson or Millsap for Ellis, then filler on both ends... Probably too big of a trade for the Bucks to make at this point in time, but if they have no intention of keeping Ellis long-term it's something they might want to consider...
I feel like if the Nets do want Ersan they're going to need a third team involved.
