Hey, guys what do you think we should do about someone like Rose?

He's been out for since the start of the season and we have no idea how he's going to be when he comes back.

I vote for Kobe. I'm not touching Rose with a ten foot pole til he's back for at least a month, he's completely off all my player ranking lists with an asterisk.

^^Yeah, I was thinking about doing that, but I wanted to see what everyone else thinks is best.

D12 is tricky now and I don't even mean where he ranks, but like Rose should he be ranked?

That injury of his, wouldn't be surprised if in a week they say another week and then a week after that, another week, but then a couple days into week 3 a bomb is dropped out of nowhere when they release the statement, "Dwight Howard underwent successful surgery for his torn labrum this morning, his timetable to return is out indefinite, likely to miss rest of regular season."

I'm between Kobe and Duncan here. Both are having great years and the Spurs are obviously a much better team so far, but Kobe has been having a better year individually so I'm going to go with him. Over 30 ppg shooting 48% is pretty ridiculous.

Tim Duncan should have been #3 based on this season.

D12 has at least been playing since the start of the season, so he counts.

We haven't seen Rose at all.

He's definitely an asterisk in my mind.

This is not a grand finale ranking that we'll never do again. Towards the end of the season (probably late into the playoffs we'll do it again), we'll rank again. So we shouldn't worry about not being able to vote for them when they're not healthy now.

You're missing a few candidates as well IMHO.

Dirk really has no place as a nominee right now.

I've already given instructions for what you should do if you feel that candidates are missing.

List the candidates and they will be added.

For this current, it doesn't really matter who the outlier candidates are because I already know the 2-3 guys who people are going to pick in the current spot.

But in a few slots we're going to need the right ones, so start listing and they will be made available for selection.

Harden is probably my next vote, no joke. Please include him for the next thread.

Seriously, he's probably my pick for #4 if I had to vote for MVP, the first three being a 3-way tie between LeBron/KD/Paul.

Blake Griffin, Brook Lopez and Tony Parker.
